the voice i lived to seek by peter blomberg (Live from Pilot Hill, Wyoming)

It is interesting revisiting an old song and writing a completely new version based on where you find yourself ten years later.
I wrote this song while camping up in the Happy Jack Recreation Area outside of Laramie, WY. Sometimes songs take months, and other times they just happen. I was considering a song I wrote about ten years ago called Sanguine that I recorded with my band FOREVERLIN - and before I knew it, I had written a sequel. That night, I attempted to make a live video, but was still struggling with one line (and some out of focus video!) - so the next night, I had everything solidified and filmed this. I could not have been happier with how it turned out.
If I look paranoid at the start, it is because as I looked over at my camper, I could just see my pup's eyes staring at me through the window of my camper - it caught me off guard. :)
I took steps, away from loneliness
