  • Request from Morocco. Level 6. This is about 1/3 of the overture. Please send me “homework” if you want Part 2.
    The Marriage of Figaro (Italian: Le nozze di Figaro) K. 492, is a comic opera in four acts composed in 1786 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with an Italian libretto written by Lorenzo Da Ponte.

    I listened to the piece 2x speed... a bliss. Never knew Cramer did such a transcription. His Studies for piano are very challenging... I really wonder how you get the right fingering on the fly...

      Fun @ 4x speed. Some kind of muscle memory from scales, and luck

    Wonderful tutorial.
    Thanks a lot!
    I have one question:
    Is it valid (and ergonomic) to play (0:17 - 0:40) with a different fingering?
    Thank you

      Glad you like it. Yes, it’s fine to adjust fingering to suit your hands ☺️

    Is it too much if I really~ want you to do a tutorial on Mazeppa? 😝 I don’t mind if it’s 20% speed. It’s just that no one has done it. I know it’s a long shot but at least I tried requesting 🙃

      What is your background? My piano friends tell me such requests are just "pulling your leg"

    • @psh7193
      @psh7193 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jane I’m just overly ambitious and believe I can pull through anything with enough self-practice lol. I mean, that got me through Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody no.2 with your tutorials (such a huge help with those fingerings!! Never thanked you enough ❤️). But ig Mazeppa is just way up there huh. Still, it’s such a beautiful piece.

      😊 your reply does show it’s a “pulling my leg” type of request. These are beautiful pieces, but not reason enough for a tutorial. If only you knew the decades of training and devotion it takes to play this etude well. The top pianists of the world who can play all these transcended etudes would count the feat as an accomplishment of their lifetime ! One such pianist played these on our Steinway D a few years ago. The Steinway is still in shock 😜
