Hi Suzy! Great video and content. I use the 30-day rule, too. What it comes down to is differentiating between what I "want" and what I "need." When I see something that catches my eye, I ask myself if it is a want or need. It makes it easier to walk away from the item for me. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I wish you much peace, joy, and love!
I’ve been learning so much about the importance of saving recently. It’s helpful to hear it in the context of mindfulness, and not just one from a dry logistical standpoint. Both are helpful, but it’s not often you hear it in the mindfulness realm. You hear more about living in the now and less about thinking about your future. You seem to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle and I appreciate your content!
Thank you for your kind comment and I'm glad you are finding value in this video. And I agree - it's about finding balance between the present and the future ❤
Ive been working on myself for a couple of years, it has not been easy, I was in the rat race and spending all my money mindlessly. Today im 31 and the mindset has recently finally shifted fully! Now I can really start heading the right way, ive been watching these types of videos for years now from the perspective of someone who wanted to change for the better, its a different feeling watching them now that im on the side of having finally achieved it😍 im finally content with less, frugal, intentional and can finally change my financial life to achieve my 2 biggest goals: freedom and travel :) (other than my family) its not easy with a 4 and 1 1/2 year old but my mind is so clear now and I cant wait to achieve those goals, the mindset was a must in order to move forward, thanks for the vids they still inspire me and help keep me on track🙏🏻
I'm so happy for you! I agree - the mindset is really a huge component. It makes the path clearer. I think when Nietzsche said 'He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how', this is also applicable to pursuing financial freedom. Keep going - you're doing great! 😊
I would watch your videos just to hear your lovely, soothing voice. Actually I enjoy everything about your videos. Very thoughtful and beautifully made. Me: I reached the same goal as you doing most of the same things you do some years ago. And I’m glad I did. Pivotal to my financial success was (as well as living within my means) was discovering the eighth wonder of the world….compound interest.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Warren. I so agree with what you said about compound interest and combined with living simply and intentionally. 😊
😊saving money is very important theses days my journey of building savings started at 28 years of age when I started my current job. And now at almost 37 years old I am keeping that momentum going. Buying bird food supplies is the only fun hobby I spend money for the good value it gives me. Ps I hope you love the bird pictures I have been posting. I look forward to seeing your next video 😊
So true - it's really a balance of saving for the future while investing some of that money on what adds joy to our present lives. I love your bird photos - and I'm sure they are such a delight to observe and care for. Thanks for stopping by, Ben, and as always, I appreciate your comment. A great weekend to you 😊
Thank you for this much needed lesson on money matters - I particularly need to do the 30 day waiting period before a big purchase,I tend to be an impulse buyer and then later regret it or find that I didn't really need it after all. This is very good advice, thanks for sharing your wisdom!
Thank you for this video Suzy I’m trying to be more mindful with our money. This was a good start 😊 BTW how did you crochet your blue and white handbag? I love it 💜

Thank you Suzy! Did you use yarn or cord? Was it hard to make? 😊
@702desertmom , I used a 3mm macrame cord. It's not very difficult to make, since it only uses simple stitches. I hope you enjoy making it, Debbie! 😊
