    There was a time when a nordy lad with a homemade tank would have caused a full scale security alert 😂😂😂😂

    not a simple project, and to get it working great like that is a real accomplishment. love it.

    I think it needs bigger front idlers and another set of bogie wheels to limit the amount of uncontrolled track since it has a rubber belt holding all the track bars together. If they were linked together with short pieces of steel to each c channel that still allowed them to pivot around the wheels it would probably work better as well but that would be a whole lot of work to drill all those holes in exactly the same spot. Lol

    She needs some 1/4" cable run along the outside of the rubber, help keep the sprocket walk under control. 606 sounds great, pretty damn sweet!

  • @paulcooper2897

    That was pretty awesome!
    Looks like it needs a bit of work yet for the track tension, but overall .. she's a beauty!
    Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦

    Yup I was thinking the boggie wheels were a bit small and the track was very floppy.👉👉 Than the track came off.👍👍 Let your friend know.🤔🤔 He could replaces the wheels with ones twice the hieght and thickness of the originals. This will keep the track from pivoting on the wheels. Plus running a cable through the guide loops on the tracks and tighten it will remove the slack. Then the tracks are less likely to come off so easyly.

    I was going to say that machine may throw a track on the easy side. That's the shits.
    The track machine I use it's impossible to throw a track. Only way is if you break all 3 belts at on time. That's going to suck if he throws a track in 2 feet of mud.

    @morgan19811 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    She needs an extra dolly to bballance the hull less diving and that front ends toast, in fact it needs a running gear tare down, being a soft track it’s more prone to throwing a rack with aggressive tread and low tension plus the flex due to distance between the tread where a traditional track pin would be in close together, consider looking into a different “link” design to limit flex/twist. Lots to play with.

    That's cool well thought out. The tracks and drive sprockets remind me of the early snow tracs that had a beetle air cooled engine. The sprockets were bronze and ment to wear out.😁

    There's a place up the road from me, in southern Maine, that makes something very similar. Ripsaw. Cleetus McFarland also just sold his to Mike Patey. Two other famous Internet celebs like you. The suspension on the Ripsaw looks more substantial though, and they have road tracks. This looks decently functional though, and like it costs a lot less. Not sure it belongs in Ukraine, a lot like the Russian T-55s that are headed there, I don't think it's wise. In the Russian case, well it will make good videos, but I don't want to see you end that way. But I liked it anyway.

    With such huge pores in the welds, it's very strong, yes. You need to carry a generator and a welding inverter with you.

    Sure if you were on Ukranian eBay you could probably find tracks & drive sprokets for a BMP-3. They use double wheeled bodgies.
    Quite a few BMPs have mysteriously spontaneously combusted over there in the past 18 months. Some track shouldn't be too difficult to come by.

    Track tensioning setup is crap a hydraulic cylinder and a pressure regulator would keep the track just right on whatever pressure is set, because the cylinder would be able to fluctuate according to tension and pressure.
