What’s truly unbelievable to me, is just how much this band has grown together. When Rob came in so many years ago, it was a work in progress, now it’s just a beautiful machine of power and perfection. 40 years and going strong! FUCK YEAH METALLICA
They gave me an identity and family as a kid when I was lost and giving up hope….I’ll lovvvvvvve them forever!!!!!!!

This was not only my first Metallica concert, but my first festival/concert at all! I am usually really uncomfortable in big crowds, so I was a bit insecure about going there, but I made great Memories and it was 100% worth it! The feeling of becoming one with the band and the crowd, the energy... I don't think I have experienced something like this before, it was amazing. I had a great place, not close to the stage but on top of the hill just where the slope started. The guy standing beneath me was headbanging like crazy and reminded and encouraged me to do so too and give my best. Wherever I may roam was my favourite song to sing along to. Still in awe, thank you 🤘❤
I'm happy you had such a great time there friend! While this wasn't my first concert, I am honestly quite uncomfortable in large crowds most of the time as well. But when Metallica entered the stage it was all worth it. My neck was hurting the next days from all the headbanging. Wherever I may roam was one of my absolute highlights of the show too, it was so good!! I hope they come back next year.

I did the same back in 2007. Best way to kickstart my relationship to concerts imo. You're lucky though, Metallica sounds amazing live now a days. What a band!
metallica is very special live: a certain special spirit and energy you don't feel often wirh other bands, especially heavy metal bands.
sometimes i think the spirit of cliff burton is around and males the emergy more powerful, familiar and full with a certain kind of peace and "love"..

Holy shit! they were so on point and in the pocket for this Hockenheim concert . They crowd was fantastic , you could tell there was a great exchange of energy between the band and audience.
Brings back so many memories. I was 15 when this album came out and it was the soundtrack of my life. To hear it live 31 years later at this level is almost dream like. Simply incredible.

and why is that? you think these guys need that? sounding human and imperfect is nothing to sccoff at, they're not machines, music ebbs and flows, if you're so concerned about time, just throw up a damn drum machine and call it a day.

My all time favorite band! Metallica never disappoints live, I saw them live 4 years ago and they were on FIRE! Those of you who haven’t seen them live, I recommend you do, you will have a blast just as I did, I’m just waiting for them to come to my home town again, and when they do, I’ll be the first to know. Metallica has been my favorite band since Middle School! I am a lifetime Metallica fan, I’m even part of their Fan Club, Metallica is the best band in the freaking world!

Geht mir genauso. Mich hat am meisten beeindruckt wie groß der Unterschied zu den Vorbands war. In den ersten 10s haben die Jungs sowas von gezeigt, wo der Hammer hängt. Gänsehaut! 😝😝

Imagine being there in the Snake Pit to see this live. All your senses tingling, feeling the heat from the fire blasts, your pupils dilated from the stage lights, your ears alive from James voice, Lar's kick drum pounding your chest, the hairs standing up on your body as the sweat runs down your back... It's exhilarating.
