Horsegram chutney, comfort food , ಕುಡುತಚಟ್ನಿ , ಹುರಳಿಕಾಳಿನಚಟ್ನಿ, Tulunadu recipe

Horsegram Chtney
This is a dry chutney as a grate accompaniment to “Ganji”(rice with Broth) made out of double boiled brown rice, very typical rice of Kerala and coastal Karnataka. This can also be made with regular white rice. Cooking method is just rice cooked with extra water and cooked longer to get mushy or soft consistency and extra water brings the creamy texture or creamy broth. This porridge called Ganji is comfort food as Breakfast or dinner.
If made with Kerala double boiled rice it is quite filling and a good onion as Breakfast. Generous amount of ghee a little salt some Pickle, Chutney or dry or thick gravy Veg curry taste yummy. It is a easy comfort food.
