The only "evidence" you have is a three millenia old book written by mortal men (not divine being) that has not been translated perfectly correctly on many places, besides, many scriptures which were supposed to be part of the biblical canon were intentionally burned/destroyed/removed because what was in them opposed the manipulative hypocritical teachings of the church. Jesus said he did not come to abolish the law or the prophets but to fulfill them. God does not change. The Bible says God is the same yesterday today and forever. This pastor misunderstands God’s word. Jesus loves everyone and proved His love for everyone by dying on the cross for our sins. The Bible says homosexuality is a sin and Jesus and John the Baptist commanded everyone to repent and turn towards faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins so that we could be set free from sin not that we could live in sin or practice sin. Jesus said not everyone who calls me Lord is going to enter the kingdom of heaven but only those that do the will of the Father. The greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your mind heart soul and strength and then love your neighbor as yourself. We love God first and then love our neighbor. This pastor focuses on the love of neighbor but neglects the first part of the commandment which is to love God first. Jesus said the day is coming and has now come when those who worship Him will worship Him in Spirit and in truth. The apostle Paul said do not be deceived fornicators, liars, thieves, adulterers, blasphemers and murderers, covetous and idolaters, homosexuals and the sexually immoral will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. We have to repent. How can we say we love God if we disobey His commandments. Jesus wants us to love people but Jesus loved us more than anything even to the point of death but yet He loved us enough to tell us the truth that hell is real and everyone who practices lawlessness and hasn’t repented and been born again by the Holy Spirit cannot see or enter the kingdom of heaven. This pastor is blind guide and he is being lead by his sinful lusts and perversions and the devil has deceived him. I don’t say that out of hate. I say that in the upmost love because I don’t want anyone to perish and go to hell. Let us pray for this man and his congregation as well.

For the past few weeks, the word “desensitized” has been replaying in my mind frequently. I couldn’t shake this feeling that God was speaking to me, so I began to study the definition. “Desensitization means to cause someone to be less affected by something. It also means to make emotionally insensitive or calloused.” As I read this definition, what God was speaking to me became clear, and the word began to convict my heart. I have become desensitized.
In a world where the media and entertainment industries run rampant with fornication, explicit language, raging violence, nudity, drugs, adultery, and homosexuality, it’s a challenge to keep yourself from seeing these things on a regular basis. But when I started meditating on what God was saying, so many questions began to arise from within me. Just how much can we control what we see? How many times do we willingly expose our spirits to things that the Lord detests? And how has being desensitized had a negative impact on my walk with Christ?
The word is so clear: we are to hate what God hates, and love what God loves. Psalm 97:10 says, “Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.” Then again in Romans 12:9 it says, “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.” Psalm 34:14 says it this way, “Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” These are just a few examples, the Bible says it again in Proverbs 8:13, Amos 5:15, & Psalm 34:14. (Feel free to look into it more on your own.) The word “hate” in the Greek is “apostygeō”, it literally translates as “to dislike, to abhor, and to have a horror of.” When we become Christ-like we should literally feel disgusted and be filled with horror at the thought of sin. Why then, do I not feel that way when I see these sins in my entertainment?
I don’t know about you, but when I have time off, my entertainment of choice is watching television & movies. In fact, I have been known to binge watch for hours on my day off! It’s a great way to relax because you don’t have to think or be concerned about anything, but keeping your eyes open. It’s also a way of escape. Sometimes life can be difficult and times can be trying & unpredictable. It’s nice to sit back and enjoy a fairy tale where everything goes as planned, for once. Clearly, I’m not the only one who thinks this way, because in 2012, the movie theater box offices made over $10 billion in ticket sales! That’s a lot of money for a leisure activity that adds nothing to you, except for a fictitious story.
Think about it! We sit in theaters and we watch movies for about two hours at a time. We mindlessly gaze at a screen and allow whoever wrote the script to etch whatever they feel into a piece of our minds forever. Once it is seen, it cannot be unseen. Once it is heard, it cannot be unheard.
