      I travel with zero expectations.
I travel for new and interesting moments.
I try to immerse myself into the local vibe.
I ask my cab driver where he eats, not where all the tourists eat. The world is a wildly diverse place. People should not want to change a place but rather enjoy it as it should be enjoyed.
      Just an old wanderer's opinion.
      Peace to all.

After a lot of traveling, my biggest expectation is not seeing abandoned, homeless, miserable cats, dogs, elephants or other animals.
I saw dogs on a meat market in Soul, abused bulls in Spain. I heard that in southern Europe and Middle East there are pleof street homeless, animals, abused elephants or monkeys in Asia, gased elder pets in Japan… I’ll never ever visit those countries.

There is this thing I always loved about Poland. Every major city is different. Krakow is a large historical city with small city vibe, Warsaw is the New York of Poland with skyscrapers and big city life vibe, Gdansk is a Polish Amsterdam with new meets old vibe, Wroclaw is the city of chill and Poznan is a sleepy city during the day and the party capital during the night.

Krakow is absolutely great if you are visiting with children, there is so many places to go to and kids won’t get bored during your trip.
    Check those places:
    Villages of the world park,
    Science Park,
    Live bagel museum,
    Dragons den under the castle,
Krzysztofory museum where kids can try traditional clothes,
Museum under the main market square,
    Wieliczka salt mine kids tour,
    Energylandia,
    reasonably sized ZOO,
    Aqua parks,
    Mirror labyrinth,
    Boat tour on Vistula,
Riding in the carriage (if your kids are into princesses),
Donkey farm on the outskirts of Krakow and many more.
    Enjoy xx

I first discovered Poland when I was living in Russia. My girlfriend at the time and I had driven through Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, and Austria on the way to Italy. I was extremely impressed by Poland. And I had not really understood that Poland had mountains. I had always just sort of thought of it as a vast plain. When I decided it was time to leave Russia, I decided to settle in the mountainous region on the border between Poland and Slovakia. That was nine and a half years ago. Poland has a lot of pluses and I think a great future. I feel like the center of mass in Europe is moving east and that in ten or twenty years, Poland and Ukraine will be booming.

    • @p5ychonaut
      @p5ychonaut 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Hard to compare Poland and Ukraine. Poland used the last 30 years as they should. Ukraine remained corrupted, poor and ruled by oligarchs with strong ties with Kremlin. Before the war they were 20-30 years behind the rest of post commie Europe. After the war ends they gonna start from even deeper level. In the 90 there were 50 millions of them now there are 25-30 millions people living in Ukraine. And I don't think that many of those who moved west will come back. One- because they have expirienced better, two- because there is nothing to come back to but ruins. And to grow you need a workforce.

Kinetic Kennons if you're worried about your viewership being down have you realized you changed your from where you originally started? It was all about Mexico. You are the main reason I moved to Mexico. And thank you for that. I've been here 3yrs now. Before seeing your videos Mexico was not on my radar. Now you are going to places I'm not really interested in. I have been watching sporadically. I enjoyed today's video. I think maybe I'm more interested in Europe. So I think you will have to build up a new viewer base. New people will find you. When you go to places that are very cold that's not for me. I will continue to be a subscriber. I'm sure new people will find your videos. 👍

I've been to Poland visited the volcano named "Ostrzyca and Grodczyn", it was a good experience. I can't remember the names of the places I've been, but I can't remember them because it's hard. I also do not know whether or not the name of the 2 volcano that I wrote is correct. I've also tried Polish food namely "Pierogi and Paworki" it's good. I also visited tourist attractions called "Wolf Lair, Kamienczyk Waterfall, Slowinski National Park and Waly Crobrego".
Maybe Poland people know and understand what I wrote, because I'm not Poland people because hard to pronounciation places in Poland. But good video.

I found you on You Tube during the Covid lockdown when Mexico was the ONLY place we could easily still travel to and because of you and your videos we decided to travel around Mexico for several months. I understand why you had to move on and I've enjoyed seeing your reactions to new places outside of Mexico. I was glad to see you slowing down because I think you've been traveling too quickly. You can really burn out. A month in one location is generally cheaper than moving about all the time.
Guess what? First impressions are not always accurate. I've been down on a place at first, perhaps due to the weather or struggle of the travel day or being hangry and not finding anywhere to eat.) Some places take a little time to grow on you.
Very pleased to see you in Poland because next year we are planning to stay a month or longer in Poland. (Our 2-month trip around Germany and Poland was canceled in 2020 due to Covid.) Glad you're loving it. I'm sure we will too.

Hilary, I don’t agree with you about expectations! Hear me out. Hahaha! My husband and I have a been to a few countries now and I do my due diligence and research a lot before going because I like to avoid as many glitches as possible and know what to expect as far as how to navigate extremely large foreign airports or what the transportation options are and what to expect or NOT expect from them. Things like that. But for the rest, we leave our expectations at home. We expect that there WILL be glitches, just not as many as could be if we went totally ignorant or expecting IG photos. This way we are totally open to whatever the experience gives us. 😁😁😁🤣 Thanks for taking us along! We love it!!

Sometimes expectations are far above what the destination can actually provide. I love going to Mexico but remember my first visit was a bit below what the 'brochures' and videos portrayed. Now I go for the sun and relaxation with no real preconceived expectations other that the sun will shine, the food will be good and the views/sunsets over the ocean pleasant.
Life is what YOU make of it. Do the things you like to do without trying to please everyone. Don't try and emulate other successful travel channels and each personality is different. I for one, never got 'tired' of your travels in Mexico...always looked forward to those.
Here's some tips: how much does it cost to live in Poland?
how much is a home or rental there? What's some fun facts from the Country? Where do they go to vacation?
Hope this helps from a loyal follower.

I'm not looking for wild, crazy, epic, Mr Beast style adventures. I started watching your videos at the beginning of 2018 when we decided to move to Mexico, and absolutely loved them. I was disappointed when you left Mexico, but you're the only TH-camrs I've continued to watch once you left for your travels. All the others who I followed while they were in Mexico, I stopped following when they left. Your wonderment, sense of adventure, honesty, love for each other, and non-drama selves are just a few of the reasons I continue to watch, enjoy, and appreciate your videos. I've also been impressed with the very important life lessons you're learning, that takes most people many more years than it has taken the two of you. I plan to continue along with you on your travels - Anne

Isn’t it a bit weird that “the algorithm” started doing its thing once you stopped making Mexico videos?
This is what happens when you build an audience based on a specific niche and then pivot to something else. The audience tends to pivot as well.

Żeby sprostać własnym oczekiwaniom warto mieć plan i przewodnik Marschala.

My advice... Traditional, handmade and homemade food (not factory catering) can be found in a place called "Bar Mleczny" ("The Milk Bar"), a kind of canteen. Relatively cheap and very tasty food.
I recommend Pierogi Ruskie (Russian Dumplings) and Pierogi z mięsem (Meat Dumplings), Żórek (Polish rye soup), Kotlet schabowy z ziemniakami i mizerią (Pork chop with potatoes and cucumber or salad), Gulasz (Goulash), Placki ziemniaczane z sosem pieczarkowym (Potato Pancakes with Mushroom Sauce), Bigos ("Hunter's Stew" - chopped meat of various kinds stewed with sauerkraut and shredded fresh cabbage) and finally Szarlotka (Polish Apple Pie) with Kompot (traditional fruit drink).
    P. S.
Next time, don't forget to buy very delicious Polish tomatoes, called Pomidory Malinowe (Raspberry Tomatoes), at the local market. ☝️

There is a lot to say about Poland. You can talk about the cities. There are the unique ones: Gdansk, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, Poznan. There are the different regions like Silesia, the Baltic sea coast, The Mazovian lakes, the east Polish forests. You can talk about the myriad of different sausages and pierogi and other foods and polish wodka. And then the young dynamic people versus the traditional and very VERY conservative catholics.. (The church is king in Poland). There is a lot to discuss.. But you should visit and you will enjoy!

Europe and Eropean countries all have something different. You learn to appreciate each one in a different way. Most people don't realize how unique Europe is until they travel throughout Europe. As Europeans, we respect our European countries and people. We travel and visit each other and share different ideas. It's much easier now with all the electronic devices and various other modern technologies. European beaches are breathtaking, including country and our fantastic food in every European country.
