As person who: - Lives in Australia - Didn't have Nickelodeon - Only watched Avatar for the first time this year. I can say that I watched this avidly as a kid and it was just constantly on channel 10 (rip) and I gotta admit that I enjoyed it as a child. Nowadays...... Its.... Ummm.... My favorite book series in middle school was Vampire Academy and they had five elements. The 5th element was spirit. People with the spirit affinity could do really awesome things but it was the most unstable element and people with the ability are very rare. Ok as a child we didn't have nickelodeon but we had this cable kids Chanel and this show was my fave after Arthur....Last month I finally watched Avatar and I was like this is so similar to that show I watched as a kid but 100 times better

I'm Australian and used to watch Master Raindrop all the time. I've never seen Airbender and don't remember watching it on TV ever. Yes, an adult perspective of this cartoon is awful, but being a child with no knowledge of Airbender, it was an interesting and entertaining cartoon with lots of colours and strange creatures. I liked it and I'm sure others did too.
If it was back in the days of early 2000’s i might have given it a go just for curiosity. But in 2020? Absolutely not, the Animation is absolutely horrendous for today’s standards.
This is one of the after church shows that used to air in Australia. They aired around lunch time on Sundays, when children would be coming home from church. Usually these shows were of low quality but some were actually pretty good.

Tho I stand my ground saying Minimax was great before it got flooded with 3d cgi animated shows to the point you would hardly get some good quality series. Even the bits of Mini&Max were really good in my opinion.

Ok as a child we didn't have nickelodeon but we had this cable kids Chanel and this show was my fave after Arthur....Last month I finally watched Avatar and I was like this is so similar to that show I watched as a kid but 100 times better

I'm Australian and used to watch Master Raindrop all the time. I've never seen Airbender and don't remember watching it on TV ever. Yes, an adult perspective of this cartoon is awful, but being a child with no knowledge of Airbender, it was an interesting and entertaining cartoon with lots of colours and strange creatures. I liked it and I'm sure others did too.

This is one of the after church shows that used to air in Australia. They aired around lunch time on Sundays, when children would be coming home from church. Usually these shows were of low quality but some were actually pretty good.

It wasn't that bad, I'm an Europian. I HATED this show, but this was the only thing that Minimax would air. So I just watched it. And I watched so much that I started to like it. So it's a sweet memory now, even though the show was really bad.

They sure have a wide range, but this series(MR) stood out because it was unique.
Tho I stand my ground saying Minimax was great before it got flooded with 3d cgi animated shows to the point you would hardly get some good quality series. Even the bits of Mini&Max were really good in my opinion.

I used to watch both of them simultaneously as a kid, and honestly they aren't that similar? Like sure, most of Avatars concepts are completely ripped of but there's something different (dare say enjoyable) in Master Raindrop as well.
