I opted to get the first release version second-hand just because it fit in better with the rest of my non-real marking style robot damashii's but I can see how this new release is superior.

Not for me but I’m glad they make them for guys like you. Waiting with a deeply held breath for what they’re going to do next after they mess around with these real marking types. I think if they don’t put out anymore 08th MS Team Figures I might actually (finally) be done with this line as I’m not going to follow it into Zeta and beyond if it goes there.
Btw, did you ever pick up anymore Universe figures? I went with all the Wing stuff (and the RX-78 just for kicks) since I don’t have the RD versions and it’s been pretty decent. I was very satisfied with Heavyarms and Deathscythe but I had issues with Shenlong. I know you picked up the EZ-8 and it seemed pretty bad. The line seems to be a mixed bag overall with paint apps, articulation, and accessories. It’s a shame because I like the scale and price point and mostly don’t mind the stylization changes. I’m curious if the Leo upcoming will be any good and if they’ll release an Epyon.
@@barkingapollo I’m fine with the Universe stuff when it came to scale and budget and stuff. I just had a problem with the shitty articulation and the laughably bad sculpt issues on some of them. I’m sure it has good figures within the line but they’re probably AU stuff and it’s not quite my cup of tea
There's the EZ8 in late November as well as the last optional parts set which includes the core fighter.

Yes! I’m going to release the G3 review next week and then the Zaku Tank following that. It’ll be a very short review 🤣
I really wish these markings were just included on the regular releases. They should be on there already instead of making a whole new version that are hard to find, for what you are paying for, they should already be included.
I completely agree. I wish it was part of the original release of the figure and not something that makes you buy two of the figures
Do you build model kits too? Or is it just robot spirits for you.
I do not have the time unfortunately. Plus, I’ve always collected the figures as early as 1999
