This is one of my favorite games on the NES, probably top 5, and certainly the one I always suggest first when people ask for hidden gems. I don't believe I've ever seen it in anyone else's list of top 10 NES games. Actually I just met the composer a couple weeks ago.
This game came across to me on yellow Chinese cartridges under the following names: 1. Contra 8 2. Max Warrior 3. Contra fighter 4. Midnight Resistance.
So many good memories ..... i loved this game , knew every secret room etc .Since the gaming industry kinda running out of ideas to create new games , i wish to see an remake whit new graphics of Isolated Warrior game in near future :)
Either you didn't know or you didn't want to, but if you jump doing a somersault and launch bombs during the somersault, those bombs will go round in circles instead of going straight, thus covering more area of effect. I find it pretty more effective in my opinion.

I've been trying to remember the name of this game for ages.
The Max Warrior plot was everyone fleeing the planet called Pan and Max stayed behind.
The game has a super secret final stage if you never die.
