Keep an eye on WR Ayden Greene. Our #4 receiver Holloway is hurt for the year, possibly. This kid has all the tools to make an impact this year and be another weapon for Drones. 🦃🦃🦃
Agreed on the O-line. I think it will be a solid group, but how good can they be will go a long way in determine the ceiling of this team. I thought they took a nice step in 2023 form a rocky 2022 season.
They got better as last season went on. They were all playing together for the first time in addition to coach R Crooks had just been hired days before camp. Safety and backer should both be better too. Brumfield at m lb is a huge improvement. The young db's are exciting to me which several played as true freshman last year. If the offense plays fast and gets a lead early in games, it plays to our defensive strengths. Pass rush and db's. Delaney and strong are lock down corners.
@@thomastrain7311I think they are going to be better this year, but last year they got better because the offense shifted to running outside zone after drones came in. To begin the season, the offense was running inside zone and the line couldn’t get any movement. There is not a lot of evidence that they improved in run blocking
@austinbarrilleaux959 they had 3 games with 300+ rushing yards after the switch. So yes the scheme made a big difference, no question about it. I watched all but 3 away games in person and there was definitely some improvement run blocking toward the 2nd half of the season. They couldn't even block a run play against odu. It was painful to watch Tuten break 5 tackles just to get back to the line of scrimmage. They definitely improved. How much is debatable, but I'm optimistic about both the Oline and safety.
Who was VT’s best win last year? They lost to every good team they played. I understand they’re returning a lot of production but GT was 7-6 last year too with a QB RB duo as good or better than VT. Just food for thought
100% a fair question. I think as a va tech fan u would’ve liked to see the improvement the team made from year one to year two, with guys getting meaningfully better strictly through development, which was lacking under the previous regime. I think u want to see more competitive games with Miami and Clemson this year. The ga tech game will be a good barometer for both programs, as key and pry both seem to be doing a good job reviving their respective programs
Probably BC or Tulane , but they were depleted. GT is going to be better. I think they'll give fsu a game in Ireland. I'm glad that GT game , as well as Rutgers is at home in Blacksburg. I feel so bad for gt fans having to endure Geoff Collins. It's so funny that he's the DC at UNC 😂😂😂 they deserve each other
VT was a deceiving 7-6... Different team in the 2nd half after Drones took over and the playbook changed to compliment him. Louisville was a disaster, but other than that every game felt like a blowout for the Hokies or close. FSU got spotted like 21 points, but the game got close in the 2nd half before they pulled away. I'm obviously biased, however. The trenches against good teams is what will tell the tale for this year's Hokies imo. LB play #2. $0.02.

Adding him to the notebook. Thanks.
Good show guys. Let's Go Hokies!
LETS GO HOKIES
Good analysis. Watch out for Mose Phillips at Safety. Could be a break out year for him.
O line is the biggest question mark then Safeties on D. If Stroman can stay healthy that would be huge.. D will have elite potential
