I have this bass and love it, but did replace the pickups with noiseless Seymour Duncan and a Bartolini for better tone and slightly higher output. The original pickups seemed very weak.
Thanks for getting in touch. They are indeed a well made and well balanced bass. I quite like the sound of the standard pickups, but haven't had the benefit of hearing your upgrades which I'm sure bring something new to the mix. I have flat wound strings which I find make playing much more to my taste. Best wishes, Michael

How does this jazz bass compare to other similar design basses?
@@johnmarlar4435 very subjective but I prefer it to mex fender for sound especially with flat wound strings
