I was thinking about the same colours for the house; white, light gray and medium or dark gray. It will match with the roof. You can try a popping colour in the verandah. Choose colours you will enjoy seeing everyday. Keep up the good job.
The outside of the house painted very light gray or a BEIGE color would look nice.I like beige color alot.The veranda decor would be pretty... cream color. The raised part surrounding the house can be dark gray, almost black.The window's panes decor painted cream color would look pretty. The inside of the house walls would look pretty cream color, white or beige also.If any yellow used it should look golden. Flowers all around it will definitely look like an African Serenity Garden. Just some ideas.🙂

I love your home. You have a lot of architectural details. Did a company draw out your floor plans? and you just pick the plan you wanted? Foundation looks well built. And yes, the soil shall slope downward a certain degree to prevent flooding. You can even tell the plumber to trench drain so you can use the rain water to water your flowers. Excellent job.

you have to put the gutter in the new house between the mud house and new one because the water will come straight on the wall of the mud house will cause damp from inside of mud house, the same problem will affect the new house from insidem some of water be deflected to the wall of new house

Home exterior paint idea: yellow gold tone the main body of the home, trim work cream and finally the doors the same color as the bass of the home…base skirting burgundy as it is or black to go with the iron and roof. Happy colors that will pop vs gray that’s being used A LOT in the village!!
I did suggest banana; light mustard, or apricot, which will be so beautiful. But now that the house has burgundy around the base, I don't know how it will look . I think the light grey as Diana suggests would blend in nicely with the burgundy. In the long run, it will be her choice based on her preference..

What you can do is complete at least one room completely. Stay in that room and proceed to do the rest step by step. It is your house, your hard work, and do anything you're comfortable with. Keep your bed and mattress in one of the room to keep them safe. Use the small outdoor house for storage of your equipments
I would not do that until you have got all of the cement stuff done anything that has chemicals in it or severe dust should not be going in your lungs 24 hours a day.
If your in a situation where you need to move, like a no choice,then ok move in,but other wise please wait,you need,windows,tiles,and the ceiling boards throughout the whole house,plus the kitchen is very important the counters,cabinets,running water thru out the house. If there is money please do more,before you move in…..once you move in, you tend to settle for the way it is and do things way much more slower. It could be years before for you do any thing…and then if you get married,it will be even slower…..
