    YIKES! The tension and awe which I've experienced in viewing this video has exceeded anything I've ever known. It has also been a tremendously interesting learning experience!

    Traveling by road in Canada I was impressed that roads remain open to traffic during even heavy reconstruction. Here in the US state of Washington, the DOT routinely closes main routes completely with little regard for the ill effects.

    i LOVE when they do rapid replacement bridges. It is so cool and makes way more sense than typical bridge building... well actually bridge replacing.. Building another bridge right next to the old one and then moving it in place and quickly demo'ing the old bridge should be done on damn near every interstate bridge ever. The raising of the Bayonne bridge is a smiliar instance, except they just needed to raise the road deck... but had to completely replace the ramps onto the bridge while not stopping traffic. Look up BAYONNE Bridge raising deck if you like this video !

    When it comes to the fiber, the repair is the cheap part. But what it's used for if it does go down will cost $100,000's an hour and that's excluding normal banking. If it's trading, then the price will be a factor only the companies know.

    good work guys. personally i liked the way this video was made. if it was a straight video of the demo with out a sense of drama i probly would have fallen asleep. besides in a scenario like this if you dont meet your deadline you could be looking at massive financial losses. so personally i feel the dramatic music fit nicely. but again just mho.

    The video is great, but why do they let idiots put all this dramatic music and 'deeply-serious-concerned' commentary over it? It does Priestly Demolition no favours, just makes the company look like a bunch of drama-queens.

    I know it was most likely unintentional, but thank you for archiving the graffiti that was on this bridge. It's a part of history and (most) of the artists put their time, effort, and money into doing it where it normally wouldn't be seen. Very nicely done.

    • @TheBigMclargehuge

      @@kikoeta Frankly I don't care if it's the Mona fucking Lisa it's graffiti it doesn't belong there. You have a community to answer to before you start putting up big pictures on public property

    • @kikoeta
      @kikoeta 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheBigMclargehuge so if I hung the actual Mona Lisa on public property, you'd consider than vandalism? If you knew more about graffiti than the average person, I'd respect your angle more, but your close-minded approach to all graffiti tells me you aren't at that level. I consider some of it blatant vandalism, but that's usually teenagers who are stupid and don't know the unspoken rules and deep culture that graffiti has.

    • @TheBigMclargehuge
      @TheBigMclargehuge 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kikoeta I think it's pretty clear any time you paint on something that isn't yours it's vandalism. No one sees "RACKA" in a 20' tall barely legible font and says "This must be preserved so future generations can not give a shit about RACKA". If your graffiti "art" is so special then put it on canvas. But we all know it's not worth canvas, and the artists save money buy using our public and private property as their canvas.. Then some douchebag comes along and tries to tell us it's a gift we should accept. What ever.

    These are **old** bridges?? In NYC, anything as solid as these wouldn't get replaced for another 50-60 years. The physical infrastructure in NYC is crumbling almost as fast as it's socioeconomic structure.
