I enjoyed that episode for three reasons: firstly the surfaced night attack reminded me of the Das Boot scene with that captain Gunter Steiner was hunting cargo ships at night on the surface, very thrilling I remember;second, when taffs captain was concerned for vessels lifeboats being strafed by their own side by sailing close to them, just after he blew a big hole and killed a portion of the crew; n third when the captain pondered to machine gun the rest of the sailors of the 'swiss' vessel. I found that episode very strong, well done.
Fun fact: Switzerland actually gets a lot of their imports (atleast today) via ships. It gets shipped up the rhine and unloaded in swiss ports, which is starting to become a problem when its water levels are dropping dangerously low during summers. I have no idea tho if the ships transporting stuff are registered with switzerland

I read the book and it goes into much more details how those poor baskets had to sit there in rebreathers because of the stale air with rivets popping out at intermittent intervals. Although I can no longer play, your videos are the next best thing. Now looking forward to the next instalment.

Another great episode taff, two more freighters sent to the seabed and another situation where you had to board and investigate, but that's what I love about this game. Had to go down and investigate a wreck.. almost something out a film, another reason why I love this game. Great episode mate, great series, I think this U boat campaign is one of the most successful of all sub sims you've done, silent hunter 5 was good but u boat surpasses all the other sub series I've seen on your channel. Keep it up mate, looking forward to the next one.
The sapper skill also works great for increasing the dentation power of the torps they saper only needs to be at the damage control stations during flooding and loosening the torps. It's 6% per torps per sapper .just a heads up, I'm sure you know but good video. Happy hunting
Game should have an option when checking neutral ships where you can go to map before claiming, that something fishy is going on and not only seeing the cource the ship is taking, but also see the common goods that ports take in by hovering the cursor over the port.

I'm new to the game and enjoying it very much, but every time I get a contact, it seems like it's always moving away from me, causing me to chase it down. Is this normal? I seem to never get the target opportunities I see here.
The sinking animations in this game are significantly more realistic than in Silent Hunter. Who remembers Taff's port raids in SH5 where you often had ships doing cartwheels through the air and landing on the quayside?
The TDC is basically what happens inside a hunter's head when he is aiming at a deer. German Technology always follow the Hunter and not the Hunted. This is probably the greatest game Since Sierra's Aces of the Deep. I was waiting for this game since 1997. Now i want MULTIPLAYER . The AI NPCS are nice but we need PLAYER CONTROLLED Opponents to hunt to complete the simulation

Why not just sink it and cover it up I reckon if you put 3 torpedoes into that Portuguese ship, it would sink quite quickly then just quickly get the hell out of there

I really want to learn to play this game.. but I struggle so much trying to launch torps and stalk ship... my mentality just ups and quits.
