Yeah, that was my impression as well. His primary thing wasn't play strategy. it was people, and he is realizing he isn't everything that is needed in this area. So his issue with her is multifaceted. Him feeling like her existing means he isn't as good as he thought, his issue with the marriage therapist experience, and of course her very different personality that he can't (initially) find a way to sync with via his default behavior.
Honestly, I can definitely understand why Roy enjoys his yoga group - a group of chill folks who don't treat him like a celebrity and just let him be himself. Plus wine.
“You deserve someone who makes you feel like you’ve been struck by lightning, don’t you dare settle for fine!” Definitely one of the best quotes in the whole show. The writing is just fabulous.
Funny as heck to me that you guys don't know people like Diane Sawyer and John Stamos, but you know the football commentators I've never heard of. Almost like you actually live in the UK. 😉
I know them both and I’m British. She’s a news anchor and presenter, he’s an actor who’s been in lots of things like ER was the first place I ever saw him.

I've watched this show numerous times and watched numerous reactions to it and you're the first to mention the actor who played John Wingsknight. I had no idea he was connected to futball in real life. Thanks!
I never got a chance to watch the series - so I am literally watching it with you guys all the way through. This is so much better than watching it alone (family doesn't care about sports). Thank you!!!! See you next week.
Remember the first episode of season one, Crystal Palace beating AFC Richmond 4-1? You said "When did Crystal Palace ever scored 4 goals against anyone?" Well... Apparently Manchester United heard you guys... They lost 4-0 to Palace last night 😂
Ted Lasso is the hug I wrap myself in when I have had a rough day and I am SOOOO happy you guys are continuing this series. I love being able to watch it "for the first time" again through you guys. Thank you for that; I don't know if you know how great of a gift you are giving us.
FYI guys, the title of the episode, "Goodbye Earl" is also the title of a song by the Dixie Chicks. Earl in the song is not nearly as beloved as Earl Grey the Greyhound in Ted Lasso, though.
Lol, the title of the episode is Goodbye Earl. Once they said the dog's name, that would be a big hint. Tried to think of an english equivalent, John Stamos would be like a not gay version of John Barrowman. Made famous by a stint on a tv show 20+ years ago as the singing dancing handsome sidekick. Hilariously, the joke works the other way too. No one in the US outside Doctor Who fans would know who Barrowman is.
It may also be of some interest to know that Ted Lasso is not the first fictional character to express an infatuation with Diane Sawyer: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opus_the_Penguin

What changed with your editing? I normally love your videos and can follow the storyline. This one was really choppy. It felt rushed and didn’t flow. Speeches that were important (like Ted’s comments to the press about “Hank”) were hacked up and took the heart out of the episode. Please go back to the way you were editing before. ❤
This one was hard to edit, I’m not sure what it was but I had a lot of problems trying to keep all the best parts in and beat copyright. Appreciate the feedback 😊
Diane Sawyer is a US news anchor, television interviewer, etc. long storied career and is highly respected. started out of college as an assistant to Richard Nixon's press secretary, and then started reporting on tv in 1978, Age appropriate for Ted. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diane_Sawyer
@@myitbos1335 Exactly. While anything consenting adults want to do is fine, she is over 30 years older than Ted so that wouldn't really fit in the 'age appropriate' conversation (as we get into for a different situation later).

"Don't you DARE settle for fine..." Easily one of the best quotes in the whole series. A series FILLED with great quotes.
I particularly enjoy the line just ahead of that one. The line about lightning.
And yeah, the gorgeous, smart, strong, witty, charismatic 40-something billionaire doesn't settle for "fine".

Also, both of those people had their primary popularity in the 80's and 90's so these guys are on the young side to know them first-hand.

I need the finger crossing to become an ongoing meme throughout the rest of the series 🤣🤣🤣

Also, she was married to the famous movie director, Mike Nichols, from 1988 until his death in 2014.

Bill Shankly told us, jokingly one would hope, to the effect of, "Football is not a matter of life and death--- it's far more important than that!"
Season 2 is my favorite.
I hope y'all end up enjoying it as much as I did.
Looking forward to the next upload.
