Mister Copeland is one of the best drummer of this world, isn't it ? En tout cas, pour moi c'est le plus grand, il m’impressionne par son jeu hyper technique et rigoureux !!!!

Stewart Copeland is one of those drummers you could watch day in day out and never get bored! I'm not a fan of the 'horns' though in the songs pre Ghost in the Machine
Big names ‘No Doubt’ ‘The Mighty Mighty Bosstones’ ‘StreetLight Manifesto that may be a song, ‘CherryPoppin’ Daddies, VoodooGlowSkulls and other ska im accustomed too (Minorly)
A fantastic band... A funny thing I noted, in "Driven to tears",after Sting first words (15:46) , Summers misses his first two guitar notes, then he bends to switch on, or raise the due knob... :-)
I couldn't tell you either, where to find "driven to tears" in this 30-Minutes-Vid until I wrote my first comment, so I am glad to help you out :) Like you, I only write comments, when they help improve something.
Totally! They are playing so fast .. cuz so high… but still super precise and massive energy… oh to be young and able to do and pull off such things!👍💪👍

Stu kills it in those sweet 70's tennis shorts. Easily the most talented man in this band. Without his driving beats they wouldn't have made it. Also, reading all these comments, Sting ain't all that...
Thats frankly nonsense. Without Sting's hit songs, his bass playing, talent as a singer, and Andy's originality, knowledge of harmony and solid technique as a guitarist they would not have made it either. Copeland is the first to admit this. It was the combination of the three of them together that made them big. With the assistance of Miles Copeland's business skills.
I think Sting really evolved after he went solo. I like the Police well enough, but this just sounds like very good pop music for the most part. Yes. Stuart Copeland was too good for this as well ~ a genius. But Sting really worked hard to put out some genuinely excellent and diverse music over the years. A genius as well. I can understand why the Police quit when they did. I doubt we'd have got anything better from them as a trio. Too much greatness in there.

Where are the string horns coming from on the first song? Sounds like a guitar synth almost, but Andy's clean, chorused guitar is clearly heard as the synth horns are heard. Maybe a moog unit on the floor like Rush used? Curious.
This is a great performance "all we can offer them is some page in a FUCKIN magazine! " ...... yeah, they were coked up, Bob Dylan was wasted during his best performamces too! They did good, they.were.original and unique and innovative in.the.80 's, not an.easy task, I think this show rocks!
You wanna further thy self without weed & psychedelics go further chemical. Check The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers or even AphexTwin for a calmer approach. (Must have seen comments in Part 1). Santana Marley Police DMaththewsBand the priors of my conversation. And Sting’s solo Albums!
Nasty... Sting has white foamy spittle caked on each side of his mouth. Almost as bad as him butchering the synth pedals. Still more talented than me and the rest of the peanut gallery commenting. Andy and Stu sound solid.
Had Sting been trained as a composer and classical musician from an early age, I think he would have given the classical music greats a run for their money. Where would Sting be today had he received Beethoven's education? He wouldn't have been Beethoven, but I think his output would be regarded as top shelf.
You would have to consider it totally plausible that Sting had a double bass player playing backstage... But he did not. That never happened. And no scientific experiment can explain that either.
Atrocious. Stewart and Andy holding it together, while Sting, with his horrible plastic bass, sings off key, mangles those pedals and froths at the mouth. Not to mention the brass.
Horrible band trying to mimic Jamaican musicians. Drummer hasn't a clue about tone in his hyped up rinky tink egotistic sound. Just terrible musicianship.
To all my Police bros and sisters out there who really got this band. I love u guys! Long live The Police! Long live us!
Hahahahahahaha
Yeeaahh !! Thats we are!!

Syncronisity Blew Me Away.... One of the best albums ever...
Yet you misspelled it. Go figure?
that was the album that was released a year after that!
They probably wrote the songs around now and maybe even working on them for synchronicity. They started recording in December of 82.

The Police are best when playing live. I love the way they play each performance differently.

Yeah ... no. Police with the Go-Go's opening. Summer 1981 at the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago. 15,000 people. Energy was crazy.
Who wasn't coked up I'm the 80 's?????
Stu kills it in those sweet 70's tennis shorts. Easily the most talented man in this band. Without his driving beats they wouldn't have made it. Also, reading all these comments, Sting ain't all that...
We'll have to agree to desagree
Sting is the real genious here!

Damn sound engineer needs to turn the keys down in the mix. Listen to Andy Summers guitar. Fantastic. Wow
Board mix doesn't translate the same over the speakers into the open air. The live sound was fine.
Where are the string horns coming from on the first song? Sounds like a guitar synth almost, but Andy's clean, chorused guitar is clearly heard as the synth horns are heard. Maybe a moog unit on the floor like Rush used? Curious.
Look behind sting and to his right. The mysterious horn section

wonder who was the most ruthless dictatorial leader in rock who directed their bands with iron fist , sting or roger waters?
alejandro rodriguez definitely Sting
Nasty... Sting has white foamy spittle caked on each side of his mouth. Almost as bad as him butchering the synth pedals. Still more talented than me and the rest of the peanut gallery commenting. Andy and Stu sound solid.
sorry guys but the keyboards spoil the sound of the band. i had never heard this in Police. that not funk

No.
...not to mention those awful brass bits!! Even Summers hated it (according to his bio)!
This is far from one of their best performances. Not even close. Sting is also way too coked up.
You would have to consider it totally plausible that Sting had a double bass player playing backstage... But he did not. That never happened. And no scientific experiment can explain that either.
Fcuking Mint...
He is dressed like Madonna
