He is neat and properly dressed, with no disgusting lint-packed dreadlocks flopping on his shoulders, and no thugged-out grillz on his teeth. And he knows how to speak to people in a respectable manner. He is definitely a cut above other young men who are walking around here today!

Having been an organist for over 60 years, I can tell you that the very best inspiration comes from listening to other artists. And trust me, you'll always have something more to learn, and that for me was always the exciting part. Give a listen to Corey Henry or Jacob Collier or Yohan Kim. Young guys with amazing talent.
The thing I appreciate most about this young man is his love and respect for God first, ministry, his Parents, the ones that cultivated his skills and lastly his God-given ability. His humility and spirit of excellence is phenomenal and I appreciate a young musician with class, especially those that still play in suits. I'm a female drummer and I grew up playing in dresses and heals as a kid, I worshipped on those drums and I played with all my heart. I've been a minister of music for 20 yrs (I'm 40 now). I do both I can live off either, what I make from the church or my corporate America job. Do both. It makes ministry easy & less like a job. Most of my musician friends that refused to get a job are now hating they didn't listen.. (Pandemic)

As a classically trained jazz pianist and capable jazz/blues/rock B3 stud...and an African-American who didn't come up in the "black" church, I had to learn gospel rudiments from those who did. So I'm no specialist...but my knowledge of theory, feel and groove allowed me to recognize the genius and craftsmanship in this young PRODIGY! He is not just imitating what he grew up hearing. While staying true to the tradition of the music, he handles sophisticated re-harmonizations with such facility that I am speechless! Well done, young Chas, and share your gift with the world.

It’s wonderful to see a young person play the organ. I spoke with a woman a few weeks ago who said her church has a beautiful pipe organ and the church musician only plays an electronic keyboard. He won’t even play the organ.
Thanks for showcasing this young brother's talent. I respectfully want to address something. First and foremost this kid has tremendous talent. My prayer is that his heart is truly on living for Jesus and not just getting by on the applause of men because of his talents. This is a big BIG issue within the Church and world. It seems that some of the most talented people live deviantly and get a pass because their talent can influence people to shout,dance,cry, get chills etc....Because of the talents of many people within the church walls living holy has been put on the shelf, and having big displays of this talent to keep the church services going and staying relevant is the norm. It seems that talent trumps holiness. I have known many church musicians who weren't saved but was there for the steady Sunday check. I pray that anyone who is contributing their talent to a church service has a pure heart after Jesus. Because if not, your talents won't save from a negative judgment. Sometimes we have to shut the music and bright lights off in today's church services and simply worship with our hearts. Shalom!

That “squeak” is normally heard on Hammond tone wheels manufactured between 1969 and 1974.

As a classically trained jazz pianist and capable jazz/blues/rock B3 stud...and an African-American who didn't come up in the "black" church, I had to learn gospel rudiments from those who did. So I'm no specialist...but my knowledge of theory, feel and groove allowed me to recognize the genius and craftsmanship in this young PRODIGY! He is not just imitating what he grew up hearing. While staying true to the tradition of the music, he handles sophisticated re-harmonizations with such facility that I am speechless! Well done, young Chas, and share your gift with the world.

It’s wonderful to see a young person play the organ. I spoke with a woman a few weeks ago who said her church has a beautiful pipe organ and the church musician only plays an electronic keyboard. He won’t even play the organ.
Thanks for showcasing this young brother's talent. I respectfully want to address something. First and foremost this kid has tremendous talent. My prayer is that his heart is truly on living for Jesus and not just getting by on the applause of men because of his talents. This is a big BIG issue within the Church and world. It seems that some of the most talented people live deviantly and get a pass because their talent can influence people to shout,dance,cry, get chills etc....Because of the talents of many people within the church walls living holy has been put on the shelf, and having big displays of this talent to keep the church services going and staying relevant is the norm. It seems that talent trumps holiness. I have known many church musicians who weren't saved but was there for the steady Sunday check. I pray that anyone who is contributing their talent to a church service has a pure heart after Jesus. Because if not, your talents won't save from a negative judgment. Sometimes we have to shut the music and bright lights off in today's church services and simply worship with our hearts. Shalom!
