I've loved this song for years, and have heard it performed by some of the world's most famous singers. But NO PERFORMANCE has touched me the way this one has. How is it that this young girl -- she can't be more than 20 -- can interpret the brilliant lyrics of this song and deliver what amounts to a hymn to love? If there is any justice in this world, Abby will become a HUGE STAR! I am in awe of this performance!

At pushing 80 years I have heard all the greats sing this, Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Fitzgerald etc. I have yet to hear a better version than this young ladies. Phrasing delivery exquisite, an absolutely stunning vocal, piano player at the top of his form. When can I buy this please, absolutely love it!!!!

Hearing this version for the first time confirms my opinion that this is one of the two or three greatest songs in The Great American Songbook. Hats off to this delightful singer and her marvelous accompanist!

Most singers project their songs at the audience. The best singers draw their audience into their song so they become part of the musical experience. Abby, you did the latter. God has blessed you with an amazing gift that few have so thank you for allowing us to be part of an excellent version of a timeless classic.
The song defines an indelible moment in my life. Of all the arrangements by all the vocalists out there, i choose this. It's intoxicatingly beautiful and for me, restorative.

Intelligent lyric, great diction, precise phrasing, delicate modulation. We can only hope that this stye of singing will return to mainstream music and be heard on the radio again some day, replacing the shrieking, wailing and thumping noises that pass for popular music right now.

Jerome Kern wrote the melody first, played it for Dorothy, and then she wrote the words, so a piano solo works beautifully.
