This game is unironically very disturbing to me.
Something about a light-hearted game centered around snuffing out the conciousness of cute little creatures.
That and the fact nobody seems to be disturbed by essentially going through a "The Fly" -esque horror body transformation except with food.

I think the problem is we're misinterpreting it as a kids game. The characters are actually quite deep and there's a dark undertone, I think the ending sequence would also give quite a few younger kids nightmares.

Rating was likely gotten for the visuals more than the content. I don't really mind it as long as its communicated clearly enough to parents that this is a game about the consequences of addiction as a coping mechanism lol

The game is just an alternate take on what Slimerancher kinda cultivated. I honestly preffered Slimerancher, overall, but the collection of NPCs and storyline helps the game set itself apart.
But yeah. If pokemon anime noises redecorate your ear canal with blood then I dont *actually* fault you for skipping out.
