I feel like a lot of people don’t realize that povs like this are just the modern day equivalent to the weird “I got adopted by all of the Jonas brothers at once and also they are mafia vampire princes” wattpad stories from like the early and mid 2000s, complete with the “yandere pop star boyfriend” ones.
Are they disturbing, self indulgent, egotistical and creepy? Yes. Are they also strikingly similar to a trend from like a decade and a half ago? Also yes.
