4:50 you are better off going to Sheridan. That degree will get you further. Cap's program is a diploma which won't help you cross the border to work in the USA. The 4 years at Sheridan is a better benefit for you. Way better.
I don't know whether you're gonna read this but a have a question. What kept you motivated and passioned about being animator? Where your parents/ friends supportive or you just didn't really care about what they say and you did what you love?
ayo, luckily my parents were pretty supportive, but the main thing that kept me going for 2 years of trying to get in was my thought process of "I don't really wanna do anything else, so I'm gonna keep trying."
I did the one year program starting in May in 2019 which was still in person. Most people do it in their last year of high school because they help you make your portfolio to apply for school, although there's nothing wrong with starting early.
Ashcan art has some classes. Their not portfolio specific ones are 700 and their portfolio animation class is 950-1085, for 8 weeks 4 hours of class time a week.
I took APW in 2019 before the pandemic and in that environment, I quickly picked up observational drawing , so drawing people and stuff in public. Starting around November, I went to life drawing sessions almost every day until February. And I spent around 5 to 7 hours every day on the portfolio pieces.

No not really, sheridan wants you to have atleast have a 65% average, but it's mainly your portfolio that determines whether or not you get in.
