I was gonna get the game then I found out it's an online only game. Lol why? It's a single player focused game. And there's microtransactions. Again why? On a $70 dollar game... And grinding is made grindier on a recent update to encourage the purchase of said microtransactions...

Dude same here. There's two different types of hype I usually have. The one for games that I can't wait to have and the ones that I know I'm about to spend hours upon hours on. This is that game that makes me both hyped.
The shots of everything, the music, the menu system, everything about this was just so nostalgic for me. Brought me back to my PS2 GT3, GT4 era. I will have to buy a PS5 for this game lol
The throwback cut scenes from old GT games struck the feels. I literally grew up with this game and attribute to much of the motorsports thing I do to this day!

I just love how the beginning is essentially a love letter to the previous GT games. I began playing from GT3 (2001) and remember the Tom's Supra sliding around Trial Mountain, and Moon over the Castle playing as they showed the Ford GT in GT4! I absolutely love how it incorporates a piece from almost very Gran Turismo together! Edit: I really hope they bring back some iconic tracks like Seattle Circut, Cote d'Azur, Special Route Stage 5,11, Grand Valley, Deep Forest, and of course the 24hr endurance races!
The supra in the trailer was a call back to GT1 intro when the gtr Nismo road going version was in the trailer. And the birds and the lights was also a GT1 callback so awesome
The game that got me seriously into cars, from playing Gran Turismo 4 and collecting and upgrading so many cars that I could only dream about as a kid. Now as a young adult, I've got one of my dream cars because they're fairly cheap, but I still dream on and still work to accomplish the rest of my dream list. Thank you Kazunori
I love how GT's trailer is so humble and isn't as grounded as the other racing game that uses pop songs, well put transitions and loud sound effects but rather showcase the things that are TRULY in the game.
The man behind all Gran Turismos is a racing and car enthusiast and his dream was to showcase a game that is a ode to the automotive world, hence that GT tends to be a fantastic game (I played them all since PS1 days). I hope they bring that magic of the old GT's and that finally make cars sound awesome (the only weak point of all GT's)
You can only compare this game to Forza Motorsport 8 and it hasn’t even been released yet. Can’t even compare it to Forza Horizon 5 as it doesn’t even fall in the same category. *not specifying that you was anyways*
It still has a broken shift indicator that flashes too early. They better fix that, because shifting way before redline may cost you speed in various cars.
This takes me back to the days when Gran Turismo used to be the gold standard for racing games. My dad bought me a PlayStation as a kid solely so he could play this game after seeing it at my uncle’s house. To this day he’s only ever played Gran Turismo and Sled Storm.

I guess in its original launch iteration, GT Sport lacked a lot of content. Anyways, what is it about GT7 that has everyone hyped for the more "old school" approach?

I don't want to jump the gun, but it feels like they've finally listened. Have owned every GT game and there has been a bit of an empty feeling since GT4.
I grew up on GT5 and GT6, only being 18.. I gotta say, GT5 and GT6 felt REALLY cozy.. it wasn't rushing you to do anything, the menus were warm and colorful, the menu music was relaxing across both games.. GT Sport is where it started to feel minimalistic and dull. You're right though, GT4 was the gold standard for the series.
@@ef5supercell GT5 is such a drag to play though with that stupid level up system... It wasn't an issue when the servers were up, but that's the issue. It was revolved as a service game mainly. Now it's the most dragging GT to play if you start a new file on it today.
I remember playing the demo of the original GT way back in 1998 so I been a massive fan of it since than. It’s been one of my fav racing games so I can’t wait for this one it’s ganna be extremely in depth simulation racing it looks like. Definitely getting this.

@@adityaj7664 the majority of the intro to this trailer is effectively a remaster of the intros of the old games, if you watch the old gt1 intro you will see the same shots in better quality in this trailer. It is the same for the rest of the old games. And im not sure if that shot means a free roam section will be a thing
And the thing is, most of the content shown here are already in GTS, but I can see how they specifically showed a few things that everyone has been asking for and has been the staple in the series like the Alfa Romeo 155 Touring Car, the Pennzoil Nismo, the Castrol Tom's Supra, Trial Mountain, High Speed Ring, proper tuning, rain on tracks, and even the proper thumb placement of the driver when holding the wheel! I'm so glad they didn't dump everything in here, but in the GT site, they have a few screenshots in there including the Used Car Dealership.
@@Pluvillion GT Sport has always been a fantastic spin-off for the series. It would, honestly, be a shame if they dumped all the content of that game and start anew. They didn't and I'm thoroughly happy that not only the content is returning, but is being expanded upon (see the R33 customization).
@@Gamebit257 - that's why we consider GT Sport as GT7 Prolouge. It was PD's testing ground for next-gen (hence that 120fps thingy they did before). Also, remember, the models in GTS are downgraded models supposedly for GT7 (and future releases), so that means it's set in stone that all the cars in GTS will be in GT7; no compromises. I'm glad they returned to their roots as well. The tuning (or lack thereof) in GTS as well as the car categories (that was an inconsistent mess) was what I disliked - I'm glad they took it out. Performance Points are what made GT fun (and balanced if you will) because you can be driving a literal Fiat 500 with a PP 800. I hope we can sync our progress in GT7; at least with just the decals/liveries we've saved because no way am I going through the hassle collecting those 537 decals I've been collecting since 2019 LOL.

Dude same here. There's two different types of hype I usually have. The one for games that I can't wait to have and the ones that I know I'm about to spend hours upon hours on. This is that game that makes me both hyped.

I just love how the beginning is essentially a love letter to the previous GT games. I began playing from GT3 (2001) and remember the Tom's Supra sliding around Trial Mountain, and Moon over the Castle playing as they showed the Ford GT in GT4! I absolutely love how it incorporates a piece from almost very Gran Turismo together!
Edit: I really hope they bring back some iconic tracks like Seattle Circut, Cote d'Azur, Special Route Stage 5,11, Grand Valley, Deep Forest, and of course the 24hr endurance races!

The supra in the trailer was a call back to GT1 intro when the gtr Nismo road going version was in the trailer. And the birds and the lights was also a GT1 callback so awesome

GRID Legends capitalized on the moment on twitter while GT7's servers were down and said "You can play GRID right now!".
I love how GT's trailer is so humble and isn't as grounded as the other racing game that uses pop songs, well put transitions and loud sound effects but rather showcase the things that are TRULY in the game.

The man behind all Gran Turismos is a racing and car enthusiast and his dream was to showcase a game that is a ode to the automotive world, hence that GT tends to be a fantastic game (I played them all since PS1 days). I hope they bring that magic of the old GT's and that finally make cars sound awesome (the only weak point of all GT's)
You can only compare this game to Forza Motorsport 8 and it hasn’t even been released yet. Can’t even compare it to Forza Horizon 5 as it doesn’t even fall in the same category. *not specifying that you was anyways*

This takes me back to the days when Gran Turismo used to be the gold standard for racing games. My dad bought me a PlayStation as a kid solely so he could play this game after seeing it at my uncle’s house. To this day he’s only ever played Gran Turismo and Sled Storm.

- New aero parts unique for each car
- Rim width and offset settings
- Track wetness indicator, could suggest dynamic weather (Thank you, @Finlay Melliar-Smith!)

I never really played the old Gran Turismo games, and only in the last year or so started playing GT Sport, and I really enjoy the online Daily Races. I guess in its original launch iteration, GT Sport lacked a lot of content.

I don't want to jump the gun, but it feels like they've finally listened. Have owned every GT game and there has been a bit of an empty feeling since GT4.

I grew up on GT5 and GT6, only being 18.. I gotta say, GT5 and GT6 felt REALLY cozy.. it wasn't rushing you to do anything, the menus were warm and colorful, the menu music was relaxing across both games.. GT Sport is where it started to feel minimalistic and dull. You're right though, GT4 was the gold standard for the series.

@@ef5supercell GT5 is such a drag to play though with that stupid level up system... It wasn't an issue when the servers were up, but that's the issue. It was revolved as a service game mainly. Now it's the most dragging GT to play if you start a new file on it today.

@@adityaj7664 the majority of the intro to this trailer is effectively a remaster of the intros of the old games, if you watch the old gt1 intro you will see the same shots in better quality in this trailer. It is the same for the rest of the old games. And im not sure if that shot means a free roam section will be a thing

What a masterpiece of a trailer. Nods to past entries and lots, lots of bits and pieces of information without being a "exposition dump".
And the thing is, most of the content shown here are already in GTS, but I can see how they specifically showed a few things that everyone has been asking for and has been the staple in the series like the Alfa Romeo 155 Touring Car, the Pennzoil Nismo, the Castrol Tom's Supra, Trial Mountain, High Speed Ring, proper tuning, rain on tracks, and even the proper thumb placement of the driver when holding the wheel! I'm so glad they didn't dump everything in here, but in the GT site, they have a few screenshots in there including the Used Car Dealership.
@@Pluvillion GT Sport has always been a fantastic spin-off for the series. It would, honestly, be a shame if they dumped all the content of that game and start anew.
They didn't and I'm thoroughly happy that not only the content is returning, but is being expanded upon (see the R33 customization).
@@Gamebit257 - that's why we consider GT Sport as GT7 Prolouge. It was PD's testing ground for next-gen (hence that 120fps thingy they did before). Also, remember, the models in GTS are downgraded models supposedly for GT7 (and future releases), so that means it's set in stone that all the cars in GTS will be in GT7; no compromises.
I'm glad they returned to their roots as well. The tuning (or lack thereof) in GTS as well as the car categories (that was an inconsistent mess) was what I disliked - I'm glad they took it out. Performance Points are what made GT fun (and balanced if you will) because you can be driving a literal Fiat 500 with a PP 800.
I hope we can sync our progress in GT7; at least with just the decals/liveries we've saved because no way am I going through the hassle collecting those 537 decals I've been collecting since 2019 LOL.
