Thank you for helpful information. My rag doll was adopted over a year ago, she was a rescued cat and she was tiny malnutrition and had IBS. Her left eye crossed sometimes usually during the day when she got excited. I then started feeding her with IBS supplement (B12), and I can see improvements with her IBS and crossed eye. Back in July, her eye started to be normal and IBS is almost cured. However, she started her first seizure. Usually short 1-2 mins and she was very disoriented. She had seizure every 4-7 days on the first month. I took her to the vet and they suggested epilepsy medication if I wanted, but I do want to find a more natural way. So I started feeding her national yeasts (B complex) in her wet food, and stopped IBS supplement (B12) since her IBS is not a problem anymore. Her seizure has been improved since last month, the last month episode was around once in 7-10 days last less than a min. My vet also suggested Omega 3 supplement for her, so she has been taking that in the last 3 months once or twice a week. I can see very very slow improvement. Last week, her seizure was on 12 days. I read that may be milk thistle may help too? Can you please advise if I should I carry on with natural supplements remedy and wait to see her improvement or should I start epilepsy medication now? Thank you

I took my cat to the emergency vet today; they gave her antibiotics because she has a fever, did bloodwork, but everything looked fine except for her white blood cells were a little high. However they never gave us any medication for the seizures. She had one while being administered fluids and another while we were waiting in the lobby to be checked out besides the multiple ones at home before and since coming home. At what point do they consider medicine for the seizures?
