For extra bad concrete a Dimond grinder wheel makes miracles

Agreed. The only problem with a cup wheel is picking your spot due to dust and noise. I’ve had some issues with people being less than enthusiastic about my efforts in the past.

Great vid and excellent to see advocating wearing a mask around the dust 👏🏻 too many DIY guys are breathing that stuff in.

Thank you. I look at it like this - the entire world wore masks for a couple of years because of something we couldn’t see. Concrete dust is visible…no brainer

I couldn’t tell you for sure but if you research concrete and paving sealers, I’m sure you’ll find something pretty close. One word of advise is to avoid water based sealers and make sure it’s designed for high traffic. Glad you enjoyed the vid.

Would a coat or 2 of clear paint on top of that be even better? I haven't used sealer before. Maybe paint doesn't stick to it. I see some available at big box stores here in the states for $20/gal.

Thanks for reaching out - concrete sealer is the best product I’ve ever used to prep a concrete ledge or curb. In saying that, if the paint you’re talking about is varnish it’ll work well too. And for $20 you can’t really go wrong.
