Highlights of the Archbishop of Canterbury's visit

The Archbishop of Canterbury visited our diocese for three days in October 2023. He was left impressed by the quality of what our churches, church schools and chaplaincies are offering. Archbishop Justin Welby said our diocese was “doing superbly” after spending one day and night on the Isle of Wight and two days on the mainland. He met schoolchildren, prisoners, clergy, churchgoers, community leaders, serving naval personnel, chaplains, and many others who aim to share the love of God.
