Eclipse comfirmation is just that the c to c bonds intersect eachother making the center 9f the molecule more negative, which pushes the h away from the center thus colliding on eachother making higher negative state in that region
good video, but you stopped short of an important feature. Even though the bonds in cyclopropane are weak due to lacking strong directional overlap, the energy of the molecule is pretty high and when combusted with oxygen the enthalpy change of combustion are higher than you would expect due to energies of angle strain, and steric strain being released in the process.
Hey,finally somebody explained me well these two definitions, your video is awesome, you helped me a lot to understand ! waiting for more videos ! and definitely im subscribed
your tutorials are really great but I am not getting any TH-cam channel for inorganic chemistry with almost all topics in undergraduate level , can anyone suggest me a channel ?
Dear Sirs, To begin with, I apologize for my English, which is not exactly the best. I would need help with the chemical reactions of the addition of cyclopropane - I am interested in why two isomers are formed in this reaction ibb.co/r0MCQ0N I have attached a reaction of ethylcyclopropane with hydrogen where it is not at all clear to me why two isomers and not one are formed in this reaction?

Perfect explanation. Same idea from Jones' textbook, but its better to see a visual explanation.

Thanks Alex, will definitely make more.
If the cyclopropain is stored under pressure with metal cylinders in a cool place...... and what colour used to paint that cylinder?
What is the hybridization of each C atom in cyclopropane? Is this sp3 or sp5 ?
Great video. Thoroughly explained the 3 and 4 carbon cyclo's. Where are you from? Your accent is peculiar to me
Wow! A great teacher so excellent thank you 🧚💓
