    The video title is exaggerated. Abdusattorov was the World Rapid champion when this game took place. It is not at all unusual for him to win against Hikaru, since the shorter time controls are anyone's game.

    8:09 blunder (...Nxc5??) loses because White has a Ne7+ at the end. Otherwise, it was a great tactic by Hikaru. He played ...Nxc5 expecting recaptures leaving him with a choice of two double-attacks at the end (either ...Ra5 or ...Rd6 pinning) but Ne7+ would have spoiled it for him.

    • @matthewliu1800
      @matthewliu1800 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wrong, his position is already lost. Black is already losing a piece and both players know this.

    • @nomoreblitz
      @nomoreblitz ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@matthewliu1800 wait... "already lost"?? Did you check that with an engine? It shows less than a 1-pawn advantage, my dude.
      But That wouldn't affect the benefit of the tactical lesson from ...Nxc5? If there was no check at the end, it would have been a great tactic (especially under those circumstances.)

      Thanks, as a low level player I was not sure that was what was going on. As for why black needs to resign at the end I will have to keep digging in the comments. I see Ne2-f4 for example. But even with the pawns cleared how do you win B and N vs B?
