    i dont know how many people noticed it, but being a fabricator i appreciate how you took the time to point all the seams of the steel the same direction

    This guy can make a video about paint drying or grass growing and i'd still watch it happily. Diresta is an artist and the world is his canvas. Keep doing what you do brother.

    nice one Jimmy. did you weld those hinges straight through the plate? I had no idea you could do that. is there a trick to doing that?

    • @matdowall
      @matdowall 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      He taked the hinge on the edge to the frame so the weld was on both the hinge and the frame

    • @ralphblair763
      @ralphblair763 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah man, the poor mans spot weld. Pre drill, weld inside the hole. Extremely strong, super simple.

    • @GeneralSeptem
      @GeneralSeptem 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ralph Blair It doesn't look like he pre-drilled, he just tacked it on the edges. Probably fine since in normal use it only experiences a force along the bottom surface.

    • @ralphblair763
      @ralphblair763 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you're right. The tack welds he did, I thought they were through the hinge plate, not on the edge, which would've required pre drilling some holes. On second look, I don't see any holes. My bad.

    • @samaker4
      @samaker4 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I Think the confusion came in, that I thought the hinge plate extends to the edge. On second viewing I saw that it does not. The edge seems to be where the weld is.

    Love the videos. I have watched all your video several time, including the episodes of Hammered. I know it sounds a little morbid, but I think you should build an ornate wood casket. I know, sounds crazy. I've kicked around the idea of doing for the simple fact to see if I could. My father owns a funeral home and I have seen the work that gets put into them. If I end up doing it and want to see the progress let me know. Still think you should try building a full sized one.
