I found Melbourne has become very busy when I visited end of September. Went to Glen Waverley, Chadstone both very crowded. Went to M-City near Clayton and it was very busy at night. Visited Box Hill and the big tall building was new from my last visit about 6-7 years ago. However at least I could park in Box Hill in side streets. I have been to the CBD many times so didn't go, but I enjoyed walking in Bourke St etc. Spent too much money in toll roads from Airport to Clayton. My in-laws used to live there but since they went to heaven there was no reasons.
@@Woodland26 When I drove to Melbourne from Geelong in a winter evening, the highway was chock-a-block and my car was caught in the wrong lane. Having missed the exit to CBD the traffic led me to a toll tunnel. Got out from the first exit Richmond. It was dark and the outdated GPS failed to navigate on unknown streets. Followed main stream traffic to a road with an overpass rail line. It was full of people and eateries likened to Burwood Sydney.
@@barwonet I am sure many people live in Geelong and drive to Melbourne. That tunnel you referred to is likely to be the M1 link. Melbourne roads has many lanes in each direction so it is important to be in the correct lane to exit.
