I do not know whether you will reply to my doubt or not.Out of all the videos,I have watched,your video is complete in all respect..Here,"the book on the table"you said it is prepositional phrase used as post modifier.I agree to that because it started with the preposition .But,I think it also acts as an adjective phrase also because it is talking about the noun ,the book.Can p.p.be used as adjective phrases.please confirm that to me.P Siva Rao,India.

Is it possible to call a phrase an adjective phrase even if it doesnt start with a preposition? I was of the idea that adjective phrase is a kind of prepositional phrase. Thus it has to start with a preposition. This got me a little confused.

Is = intensive/copula verb
Maria = Subject complement
