Phases of moon explained using an orrery

  • As the moon rotates around the earth it travels through phases.
    The alignment of the sun, earth, and moon create the phases.
    I use an orrery to explain the moon's alignment during,
    new moon, waxing crescent, ist quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter, waning crescent, and back to new moon.
    The sidereal period is 27.3 and the moon is measured against stars.
    The synodic period is 29.5 days and the moon is measured against the sun.

    Sorry for the mistake that I didn't catch. At the end of the video, I say the new moon occurs in roughly 27 days. Please let me explain. The sidereal period is 27.3 and the moon is measured against stars and the synodic period is 29.5 days when the moon is measured against the sun. The length of a lunation is 29.530588 days (or 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 2.8 seconds) and occurs roughly every 32 days. You may get two new moons in a month. Sorry for any confusion.

      The moon goes over your head 28 times in a "month." Not once in 28 days. Our Gregorian calendar is the only unit of measure that has unequal lengths. This is all to confuse you about the earth and moon. An inch is an inch is an inch. Centimeter. Hour. Mile..... But a month can be 3 diff lengths... LOL! Confused yet? Month comes from the word Moon. A moon cycle. Except Pope Gregory decided we needed to change it so people would turn to the church for answers and not nature.

      The earth is older than the sun. When the moon and the sun came about, they were to give the seasons, and time to make up for days and months, and years... Why then the moon moved around the earth and the sun did not, instead, the earth that was in place steady originally, was then made to move around the sun. First of all, is the earth a planet...that it should move. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth...later the sun and moon were created together with stars and planets...earth was not one among these because it was already there...just curious...

      1. It is just flat-out impossible for fluids to rest dead-still (not even an ultra-slight "pico-bit" of movement at all) if the World was a spherical ball that spun on the axis AND traveled around the Sun at the same time. It is logical fact that fluids can never-ever rest dead-still if being spun on a ball, even if the speed of the ball is constant. The centrifugal force of a rotating ball is felt and active even if the spinning-speed of it is not changing.
      (at the wicked-fast pace of well over 50,000miles/hour as the fake, make-belief globe-model deceives sheeple into believing)
      2. If a downward acceleration force exists that keeps mass from floating/rising up out of the World's atmosphere is in existance then how come NASA liers have to be hooked on wires even when up in "space" and how come clouds never ever fall down to the World's ground surface-level due to the magical, weird, "universal", "down-to-Earth", vector force-field that retards believe can "curve water / land" around into the shape of a ball/globe.
      3. Some living beings can't even move on their own will and have no conscious mind at all; including: grass, bushes, trees, flowers, mushrooms, vegetables and fruits. Non-living objects or items including: dust, powder, fluids, pebbles, stones/rocks and clouds are definitely not able to move on their own, as their conscienceness is non-existent.
      The non-existent, animated, make-believe globe-model shows a spinning rock-ball/globe that both spins and travels rapidly in "outer space", with out being able to give a single pigshit explanation for the reason why the globe is spinning and traveling in "outer space" to begin with. Those wicked, stubborn, ignorant, liers either don't or can't provide a single pigshit explanation as to what fuels the spin as well.

      I can never understand why some people have such a hard time understanding what causes the changing areas of light and shade on the moon's surface throughout the month.
      The moon obviously orbits the earth and takes around 4 weeks to do so.
      This is why the cycle of moon phases, from the time a full moon takes place to the time the next full moon occurs, is a period of around 4 weeks.
      When the moon orbits the earth, the moon is also changing its position relative to the sun, and we see the changing areas on the moon's surface that are being illuminated by the sun.
      What's demonstrated in this video, can also be simulated by anybody who goes outside during the day when the sun is shining.
      Hold a round ball (tennis ball, basketball) at arms length and slowly spin around 360 degrees.
      As you do this, you'll notice the changing appearance of the ball, with different parts of the ball being illuminated as you spin.
      What you see on the ball's surface, is exactly what's occurring on the moon's surface as it orbits the earth.

    I witnessed a strange event in 2017. While I was travelling through the midlands of Ireland on the 19th of February heading north as a passenger I was looking out the van window and being winter here the sun was low in the sky and as a small cloud obscured the sun the moon appeared to the right beside the sun at about half the size of the sun with all it's features clearly visible. When the cloud passed it disappeared, this happened about 3 or 4 more times as small clouds obscured the sun, it was like the moon was switching on and off as the clouds obscured the sun. For the moon to be half the size of the sun defies everything we have been taught about the moon. For it to be half the size it would have to be further away than the sun for that to happen but it did not seem that way more like they were relative to each other. I have researched this phenomena and have seen some footage and photos on this topic but never have I seen any of these recordings or photos in such details as I saw and most people think it is a second sun. Since then I know they have lied about going to the moon and about our cosmology and most likely everything else. The van driver also witnessed this strange event too.

    When we ALWAYS see the Sun Rise in the East and Set in the West !?

    • @carultch
      @carultch 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eclipses in general move from west to east. Only in rare scenarios of solar eclipses near the poles, does the solar eclipse move from east to west.
      The moon's tangential speed is about twice as fast as the Earth's tangential speed of rotation. If the Earth didn't rotate, the moon would rise in the west and set in the east. So the moon is actually moving west to east, we just don't normally experience this, because our own planet is rotating. When there is an eclipse, the tangential velocity of the moon matters more, than the angular velocity of the Earth, and thus eclipses in general move west to east.

      On a lunar eclipse, that is what happens. This model isnt exact, but yes, the Earth can leave a shadow on the moon. It just doesnt happen that frequently because the alignment of the sun, Earth and Moon need to be just right.

      I don't know if you still want an answer or not. but might as well. The moon and sun are not on the same plane. There is a 5 degree difference (called Inclination) and most of the time the moon is above or below the earths shadow for a lunar eclipse and above/below the sun for a solar eclipse. Eclipses only happen when the moon is in direct alignment.

    • @sailorman8668
      @sailorman8668 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The distance between the moon and the earth is 30 earth diameters.
      When we see a full moon, the maximum amount of 'fullness' is never more than 98% due to the fact that the moon isn't seen in perfect alignment.
      The moon's orbit around the earth has an inclination of 5 degrees from being in perfect alignment, meaning that it's a relatively rare occurrence for a perfect alignment to occur, causing either a solar or lunar eclipse.

      The "Circle of the Foundation under the Dome Firmament" / "Flat-Plate set under the Dome Ceiling" as explicitly described in the Bible, the True shape of the Earth, is not a spherical ball (nor does the stationary Foundation / still Earth travel nonstop in "Space" at the ultra-fast speed of well over 50,000 miles an hour; as deceitfully depicted according to the fake globe-model)!
      It's just sad so many deceived, brain-washed sheep think we live on a spherical ball, spinning and traveling non-stop in "Space"
      at the speed of 66,627 miles an hour, over 1,550,000 miles a day, well over 500,000,000 miles in a year's time; knowing that water and all other fluids lay line-flat and rest absolutely dead-still.
      I know the World is a flat stationary plate under the Dome Firmament, exactly as the Bible describes.
      I used to be a brain-washed, deceived sheep (that many people sadly still are) that thought the Earth was a very fast spinning rounded ball until I found out about the Flat-out Truth for myself!
      We really are living in the times exactly as described in the Biblical End Time Prophecies of the Book Revelation...
      The Fake Lunar Landing, 9/11,
      studio-animated missions to "Mars", staged school shootings, C0vid-LIEteen, and George-FLied are among some the largest, wicked, false, sinister, New World Order, 1-World-Government, Illuminati or (IllLieMenNaughty), Satanic Hoaxes!!!!
      If we live on round spinning and rotating globe that travels in "space" non-stop, well over 50,000miles an hour, well over 1,000,000miles per day; why do water and other fluids all lay line-flat, and rest dead-still at the same time?!
      N0 one ever feels even an ultra-small, slightest of anything, rotating sense/feeling, of the computer animated, fake, deceitful, globe model's spinning centrifugal force! The illogical, silly, make-belief globe model is non-existant; it is just outright impossiball!
      The speed of the ferris wheel that I was riding on very uniformly sped up to it's maximum speed of about 7 kilometers an hour in under just the first 45 degrees of rotation; and it rotated over 270 degrees at the speed of 7 kilometers an hour uniformly (without any deceleration or further acceleration) until decelerating to a stand-still in under the last 45 degrees of rotation.
      I still felt the uniform rotational force of that ferris wheel even during the non-speed-changing section of the rotation when the very slow (roughly 7 kilometers an hour) wheel's rotating speed / spinning motion was constant!
      The World is a stationary, non-moving Flat-Plate under the Dome Firmament exactly as the Bible describes !

      This is too simplistic a model. The best way to improve this would be to switch off the extra lights and leave only the sun lit. Then things would be closer to reality.

  • @wasserball
    @wasserball 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    The moon completes one orbit around the earth in 27.3 days, but the cycle between a new and full moon is 29.5 days because the earth has moved around the sun and it takes the moon a few more days to line up with the earth and the sun again. It will be clear if your model moves around the sun and not kept stationary.
