21:31 Baugenveeya sounds very fancy 😂.
😂🌸
Love the bougainvillea (boo-gahn-veeya) in sunny Southern California. Too sunny this week, in the high 90's F for a week straight. Don't apologize, the rain on the roof sounded lovely and soothing! After watching the video all the way through twice, I practiced the water color while playing rain sounds on my Alexa!
Thank you. I actually love the rain and Alexa rain sends me to sleep every night xx
BOUGAINVILLEA (correct spelling)
boo-guhn-vi-lee-uh 5 syllables. Plus, married to scientist/botanist who confirms pronunciation. As does Google.
@@NancyReid Technically correct. I live in LA and work in a high end plant nursery; most often I hear and say the Spanish pronunciation with the double l as y. Either way, it's a gorgeous rendering and lovely tutorial. Thanks!
@@vikkigherzi9933 I can see why it would be pronounced that way (incorrectly) but it is not spelled ‘villa’ but ‘villea’ so 🤷♀️
Thank you
😊
🌸
Helen, do you work with acrylic paint as well?
Hi. No but a do have a few gouache tutorials. There’s a playlist on my page

I guess it depends where you are from. Many countries and regions pronounce the ‘ll’ with an ee sound. But still, it’s just painting pretty flowers and folks are here for that
@@helencampbell yes, absolutely about the flowers. I just started your lovely tutorial today.
Yes, different countries different spellings and pronunciations. I was just referring to English. They spell it differently in Mexico. Buganvilla (only one vowel after “ll “)
* Spanish: Most Spanish speakers pronounce it "boo-gan-VEE-yah".
* English: In the UK and US, it's pronounced "BOO-gən-VIL-ee-ə".
I’m only speaking for English pronunciation, not other countries
Here is so Calif. I’ve always heard it “Bow- gan - vee- yuh” the gan like the word can and bow with long o sound
@SusanDaniel-rz7cj same for me
