A lot of people in the industry to this, and it is what it is. If you go back to her old b sides though you will see that it is actually HyunA’s singing voice.

@@plumkeo dancing is controversial in many countries, men are pushed to not dance or be masculine about it, and women had to be either dainty or sexy, like it was some kind of service they're doing. even in kpop, when men do covers from girl groups, they avoid using their hips and make the dance choppier, obviously in an attempt to "man it up." however in recent generations a lot of things have been more inclusive :D (and obviously not all kpop guys make girl group cover dances choppy and energetic and masculine, like i said everything's changing ! /pos) also not related but i love the tone tag omg i hope tone tags are getting popular :o

Because it was more than one person. There are parts of the song where it seems like they either maintain the vocals of whoever did the demo, or just had an unnamed vocalist polish the track up. A lot of people in the industry to this, and it is what it is. I notice it's a lot of the younger fans that try to play semantics & say this is just showing how multifaceted her voice is, and they can take that nonsense back to their 3rd and 4th gen fandoms. Hyuna has been in the game for over a decade, and she's not known for her vocals in anyway, shape or form.
@@ZeriocTheTank If you listen to Hyuna’s b-sides her singing voice has always sounded like that. Like you said many artists keep the demo’s vocals in the song and there’s nothing wrong with that, but many HyunA fans know that her singing and rapping voices are different. She trained to be a vocalist at first and learned to rap from LE of EXID which is why her rapping voice sounds similar to LE. If you go back to her old b sides though you will see that it is actually HyunA’s singing voice.

I feel like she's singing about being under a company that treated her badly and forced her to do things. But now she is free to do everything she wants, and not what others want from her
totally, “that” company i feel as if was also forcing her to portray a good girl image on the side due to the criticism for her more openly sexual dancing and more free lyrics.
I guess that happened to her twice, when she was in JYP with wonder girls - they forced her to be the skinny sexy member when she was just 14/15 or smth like that. Then in cube they didn’t like that she was dating someone and had her doing solo and group work with 4minute and it must have been really hard for her
