Ok, let me tell ya'll, Hyuna is a super professional and genius Queen, the fact that she wrote this with the deep meaning of a Kpop idol being sexualized but the song with happy vibes and also that the message could be taken as ''She was talking about Hyonjong'' is a masterpice, I mean, pls, react.
The way she goes from dancing sexily with her body highlighted, & when the door opens we see she’s just a kid... the way her eyes blow up and face gets tiny... the way she holds herself as she walks off and tries to be confident as the elevator starts to move... the way it just jumps straight back into her in a little top with guys grinding and touching around her ... the way the baby girl is delivered and the way it sounds so robotic... this MV is kinda freakin scary
im watching this at night and i feel kinda creeped out for some reason lol everytime i hear this song but i still hear it cause its a bop, especially when the music stops is creepy
@@dietdr.pepperbaby5628 I don't think you can say it's "about that", look at the lyrics, it's about a woman falling for a younger man/someone who makes her feel young. It's just that segment which is a commentary on what you said, so unfortunately a lot of people miss the meaning of it. I wish she'd made that message more obvious, but she probably didn't have that option with cube
@@azradietrich1215 There's literally nothing unusual about the MV except for that part, have you watched any reactions to this? Nobody gets it until that last part, and most people don't get it at all. There's also no confirmation on Hyuna's part, so fact is that this "hidden meaning" is still just a theory.
I still can't understand how this being her deepest MV with a real good message and throwing awareness went to the flop. And BTW is one of her best songs, the sound, the vocals, the dance. So underrated
If it makes you feel any better, this was her most successful song in Korea, with almost 60,000 likes on Melon Chart. It just didn’t do as well internationally which is fine.
I think it didn't get as much attention internationally because it had a different vibe from what she's known for. "Babe" and "Flower shower" have a soft vibe and her soft sounding songs tend to get lower views internationally because she's known for being sexy.
Stop arguing if she says “creepy smile” or not. Even if it doesn’t say creepy smile how can you not get over the fact she stops at the age 15 and it gets weird and a little dark, keep in mind she debuted in wonder girls at 15.
Yes I thought this was a commentary on her relationship with E-Dawn and how she felt younger around him, but then the mood turns dark as she sings about being 15 again, as if something happened that involved her leaving Wonder Girls, something she doesn't want to dwell on.
@@hannahxf Exactly. And its not like the kpop industry will be all approachable on this aspect for her to make a public statement. That's y she had to hide it artistically in this bop
FBI 이상하게 웃어 doesnt mean creepy smile... i mean if you dont know korean and cant understand the lyrics as it is in korean, stop making weird assumptions. Nobody in korea assumes this song has deep meaning like that. Hyuna herself talked multiple times that this song is about dating a younger boyfriend.. and a quick reality check, edawn is actually younger than hyuna. He is probably who she is talking about not some creepy industry executive.
ᄀᄐᄋ are you actually copying and pasting the same response to everyone who’s “making weird assumptions”? Like okkkkk, we get it. If it doesn’t mean creepy smile and you’re so advanced and just so much smarter than others, directly translate it for us 🙂
@@FYFHTaeyun What I think what's happening is she feels younger and younger with a guy. 25, 24, 23, 21, is okay. But the age gets lower 19, 17, 15, is basically a grown man dating someone under 18. From the research I've done about it and many different color coded lyrics, online lyrics, etc. To me it seems like she's pointing out that there are pedophiles in the kpop industry, etc. Because as the ages get youger, you see she gets uncomfortable (also the music is turning off after 17) looks unpleasant. Most lyrics say "I cant sleep because of you" or something along the lines of that. My assumption is that what he guys gonna do next to her, why she cant sleep. In conclusion pointing out just because they seek nice on the outside, doesnt mean they're like that behind closed doors.
Hyuna said it herself? That’s believable then. No label would make an artist lie to protect their image. No artist puts meanings below the surface level. But the description says it so I’m going with that.
that’s because she disguised the song as her falling for someone younger than her and how he makes her feel young again. it says so in the description. i don’t think cube would let her expose the industry on purpose because cube are literally the ones who did this to her. s3xualizing her and more.
I’m really disappointed that I didn’t get the meaning of it at first. Hyuna is so wise and subtle and is doing a great job in exposing so many stuff and poking into the industry like this. Wow.
yoongis nipple I think the song is talking about how the industry will make some girls be sexy and do things even though they don't want to and they might be underage...read the lyrics I think you will understand...hyuna was 15 when she debuted btw
It's about how the industry infantilizes and sexualizes underage girls. As she's marking down her age saying "You make me 24" "I feel like 21" she's losing a sense of her real age because she's constantly being told to show off her youthful innocence and act younger than she is so that people will give her attention and so that she can stay relevant in the industry. What's really sad is when she says "I must've really wanted it" cuz she's referring to the fact that she complies with the industry's desire for young idols because she wants to please her fans. Also, notice how the music dies out when she gets to 17 and 15 which are underage. you can see her visibly uncomfortable. There are so many more allusions to this message all over this song.
this is deeper than a stalker at her workplace, this is about masonic satanists that run the industry and the world, they are pedophiles and do sacrifices, also use music videos to put symbolism and spread agendas to brainwash people. also they idiotize famous artists by mk ultra or even cloning and replacement. just look up for testimonies!!' even michael jackson spoke about them before they've murdered him!'
damn.. after reading the lyrics to this and then watching the music video is so terrifying. it's so sad how knetz trashed hyuna and said this concept didn't suit her, but this song has such a powerful meaning behind it.
@@elpeachy5412 it has a double meaning, a lot of songs do. at the surface, the song is about dating a younger guy. when you really analyze the lyrics, the mv, and her other songs related to the topic (blacklist ft. LE), this song obviously has a deeper meaning about pedophiles and sexualization in the music industry.
jesus, the part in the mv where she is in front the “box” where you can only see her silhouette that appears as if it’s nude and she’s dancing provocatively but then they open it and she’s sitting on a children’s bicycle with an innocent look on her face....
I feel like along with the lyrics, the outfit choices also reflect the song's meaning; the clearest example, in my eyes, is the stark contrast of the pastel blue button down (pastels are often related to children and babies) with the bright red thigh-high heels (often seen as "sexy"). Everything about this song and video works to spread the message even further. Really great work on her part.
after all the drama(the pedophilia and what happens if you don't make it into the kpop entertainment), hyuna was literally exposing the kpop industry in this song
@@iution4668 actually, this is about the sexualization towards the younger girls in the kpop industry. very easy to confuse, but yes, this song has a deeper and darker meaning.
When the lyrics went below 18 I've gotten literal chills....And the scariest thing is that the sexualization of minors is *very* common in music/film industries (both pop and kpop) which just makes me question humanity...
For the people who really don’t understand what is going on in this music video there is a double meaning, and it can be interpreted in both ways. The First meaning is stated by HyunA’s team which is, “Her sixth mini album "Following" will show new aspects of her upon the 10th anniversary of her debut. The title song "BABE" of her 6th mini album is a cute and witty song about a couple with an older woman. In the song, she portrays a woman who becomes like a baby as she dates a man who is younger.” This is only the first meaning so that she could get the second meaning into the song. The Second meaning is more than the eye can see. It starts off with the lyrics “Why do you keep staring? Why do you keep smiling? Like That, Like That. Why do you keep acting like that?” This is supposed to represent someone that is over her in the kpop industry with the power to make her act like a “babe.” More lyrics suggest this throughout the song such as, “Like this, huh? Like this, huh? Why do you keep doing that” “I’m burning up every day, you twist me up babe this is indeed me whining, but you think it’s cute” and “I can’t figure out how old I am in front of you did you put a spell on me.” These suggest that she is being forced to portray a “babe” and not act like her actual age. But the thing that is the most significant throughout the song is the ages counting down. HyunA starts at the age of 26 and continuously goes down to the age 15 which is what she feels like, aka. when she debuted. In the music video seen at 0:21 you can see the screen burning while HyunA is wearing all white which could be interpreted as her “innocence” or “purity” is being taken away from her. In the music video at 0:30 we can see her go in the box looking like how she usually is, but when the box is opened she is dressed in unusual clothing and looks very unhappy, you can say she looks like a “babe.” There are also important parts of the video such as the scene with the flowers, the scene where she stops dancing, the scene with the sand, and the scene where she is seen outer space which can be interpreted in many different ways. (Archi S Comment) - When she was saying "pamper me" she is sitting in a bed of marigolds which mean cruelty and grief. This is supposed to represent how she is surrounded by cruelty and grief. Another significant portion of the song is the ending where she sings in a robotic voice to seem as she is being “controlled” into doing these concepts that please the people of the kpop industry. Overall the second meaning is trying to show that the leaders of the kpop industry treat their idols anyway they want to and force them to do concepts that they don’t like. Many groups are forced into doing cute concepts and act like schoolgirls when they are grown women. The song is trying to say that this is some type of “fetish” that some people have, and the kpop leaders and just catering to it. Many song do this, but this song just had a good way of hiding it. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day! - Chris Edit: Thank you everyone for the likes, and I changed the incorrect lyrics and meanings thank you everyone! :D
Ayo Ogunsakin We all have our own opnions, but I don't think this song was meant to be the first meaning. It just dosen't add up to be the first meaning.
she sang songs about how important women's rights are, and then she started dating an accomplice to violence against these very women, i think I've never been so disappointed.
Remmeber when jyp put barerly 16 tzuyu in an elevator and labled her as the “sexy” member and how wonyoung used to wear sexy clothing when she was 14 and how ella gross was sexualized for wating icecream when she is TEN YEARS OLD...yeah this is what this song is about
I mean, the best example would be JYPE putting a 15 year old hyuna in the least amount of clothes when WG debuted and calling her the 'sexy member'. The youngest members in WG literally were all put in short shorts and revealed the most skin while the oldest members were in pants covering up their legs.
Hyuna has gone through so much in the KPOP industry, and her making a cryptic video about the dark side of it is such a big statement. She is a strong woman, no one can bring her down anymore.
I second this as a survivor of sexual assault, it was very interesting to see someone else's view, especially an idol since she has so much more speakability
This is so disgusting that she had to make a song to share her pain and not out-right say it. Imagine the hard ships she went through in silence, you're strong Hyuna. I love you!
For me “I must want to hear it again” is the most damning lyric in the whole song. It’s so common for abusers/manipulators to make the victim feel in some way that they enticed the unwanted attention. That age countdown... to me this is a clear message. #metooawareness
she doesn't actually say "I must want to hear it again" She's actually saying "I want to hear it again" or something like that. I feel like alot of words in this song were mispronounced but even then it does give vibes of a pedophilia
GOOD GRIEF SHE IS LITERALLY SAYING I WANT TO HEAR YOU BE CUTE TO ME. NOT LONGING FOR DAYS PAST OF YOUR DADDY ISSUES. ALSO YOU DO NOT SOUND INFORMED/SMART/WOKE BY SAYING SHIT LIKE "It’s so common for abusers/manipulators to make the victim feel in some way that they enticed the unwanted attention." SO COMMON!?!!? IT IS LITERALLY THE THING THAT DO.
Donna deBruin .... she’s talking about the kpop industry sexualizing young girls and the age countdown makes it even more clear...? I don’t think she’s talking about edawn why would she become uncomfortable when the age countdown hits around 15???? And she’s talking about how she unwillingly changes when she looks at someone that can’t mean love right? And when she said that she must want to hear it, a lot of creeps say that to their victims, they trick them and trust me I have experience 🙃
Ok but this video is actually powerful. 1. In the beginning she is happy, but it's burned away to reveal behind the scenes of seductive women putting her in a box, definitely showing how her sexuality is boxed up and hidden. Then she emerges dressed as a child, albeit a little racy - kind of a direct punch in the face to K-pop needing female idols to be cute but also sexy - kind of a conundrum. 2. She walks off set to reveal a world beautiful and wonderful, probably her sexuality or the concept of being an adult or her being herself. Something she can only get to if she walks away from the façade that is the industry making her younger (you make me 25, 24, I feel like 21.) Notice how everyone around her keeps dancing as if nothing is wrong; she's the only one who's aware that something is off with the industry and she's one of the few to speak out about it. The message in this video is much more than just our queen Hyuna being adorable and bubbly. This is a masterpiece in disguise. Edit: thanks for all the likes and feedback!
why cant all the haters see this? if they scroll through the comments to read, and not coming here to click on the unlike button only, she would have been loved more
no ... when she was saying you make me 25 ... 24 its like saying that the guy is making her feel younger as simple as it is .... not everything has to be complicated

2018 ? In the end when she says "you make me baby girl .. but now I am your "Barbie girl"(toy) . . The whole song is about the dark side k-pop and entertainment industry .
Kheyette du 92 they don't want it to be obvious that's why the caption said baby girl, hyuna is just giving us hints. It's on us if we'll get what she's trying to express. That barbie girl is just so creepy it's like the proof that this music video really has a deep meaning.
Ariséu Guncalves sometimes korean prononces words not with the correct prononciation like the Word Babe in this video she say "bébé" because of their accent so i dont think she say "barbie" you misheard, dont see the bad everywhere...and if they want to hide the truth of the korean industry why they came up with this song ? Hyuna had signed and its very strict they dont wrote their entire song themselves. I dont think its totally false but sometimes the comment area are paranoid
I know it's 2018 at the moment but I'm still really concerned about hyuna, the English lyrics and the cut scene to where she stopped dancing is really bugging me, only if I could meet her in person and actually ask her *"are you ok?"*
She's fine. Myself, and several friends, have worked and with her on different videos over her solo career (RED, How's This). Most of shooting a MV is standing and waiting and doing the same thing over and over and over again. But most of the time just hanging out with other extras. From the times getting to face-to-face with her on set, she'd tell you she's tired. When you are the talent, there is hardly a minute that goes by that someone isn't handling them and directing. And homegirl is a professional. This is not a cry for help. This is a performer who is doing her job well. The sheer amount of mental and emotional resources needed to constantly shift into stage over and over, with consistency is not for quitters. You know her name, have mad love for her and respect her because she is someone deserved of respect in her craft. Support her by representing her brand. She got where she is in this world because she WANTED it more than the next girl and, like Madonna, was gonna get to the top her way. It's Hyuna. She's fine.
I mean if you saw her and just said that she would get the wrong idea and think she’s flawed or something. Not like there’s anything bad with that, but flawed more than usual.
@@lemortedbrian6070 It's actually not about E'dawn, she's basically exposing the kpop industry that's why she stopped dancing when the age went under 18. The lyrics say "you make me 18, 18, 18" then the number goes down by one and that's when HyunA stops dancing. That's pedophilia in kpop. :/
this song has a huge meaning behind it, she even stopped dancing once the lyrics went below 18.. it gives me full body chills man. its a sad world we live in when these things happen.
its so sad that people cant understand that this is actually referring to someone over her head in the k-pop community. either making her act sexually to get more fans and more money or someones harassing her. ive been a fan of hyuna for a long time and she doesn't say things like "creepy" or have no expression, or even be up against the white wall like that. it also surprised me that she had the bubbly beat in the beginning and she was wearing the white dress cause she almost always dresses kinda inappropriate but not to inappropriate. its just sad. you people need to stop just listening and acualy read the subtitiles and acually pay attention.who knows, maybe hyuna could be getting harrased and someone may be able to stop it if they would acualy pay attention. Somevcredit to Gloom
the description of this video says that this song is about a couple where the man is younger but is it really? I feel like they'e hiding something when hyuna is actually trying to convey a deeper message? Like why would she say 'creepy smile' if this was just an innocent song about a couple? I refuse to believe that's what this is.
Not everything has to have deep, intellectual meaning to be enjoyed. It's Pop Music, the most profoundly shallow of all. Accept the fact that someone did a shitty job translating a song you like and keep bopping.
Donna deBruin Can you stop being an asshole in every comment section. South Korea and Kpop has this shit too about pedophila it’s everywhere in the world. And just make your own comment about this “shallow” meaning song. Don’t go on everyone’s and act like a dick, everyone has their own opinions.
Donna deBruin And SOPA just got fully exposed by students and now even the police that they made students do sexual acts and act all touchy with adult men or woman. And even invite them to special private meetings without informing them. So shut up.
It doesn’t say “Creepy Smile” Anywhere in the song. It’s the caption, which is wrong. It’s just “Smile.” Although it is still strange that after her age goes below 17 she seems uncomfortable.
I think “more than yesterday” is a line that I haven’t seen people really pointing out. I think it’s about how this has been going on for awhile and is not just recent
i def don't think she's talking about e'dawn here, i think she's talking about some industry executive who has been predatory towards her from a young age. i hope things are different now for her.

When I first heard this song in spotify, I thought this was a happy song where a girl fell for a guy but when I watched the mv, I was shocked with the lyrics and meaning behind the mv after watching some comments. Props to Hyuna for surviving this toxic industry and giving us this song.
i remember listening to this song like "omg what a bop" & not even seeing the meaning behind it . i thought it was weird she was counting her age down & used to think that the pause part was just for comedic effect like "hell nah cuh i aint underage" but after watching gloom's vid & reading all the lyrics , i have so much chills .
1:05 now that we are talking about this, at this time stamp there's a line saying *"I must want to hear it"* and this keeps reminding me of the sexual predators who tell their victims that they are the one who *seduced* and *tempted* them, thus meaning that *they must want it* I might be wrong but this line just doesn't settle well with me now that we are viewing this song in a new light.
Yeah I got the same feeling. Like the whole grooming process, like the says "pamper me" like ugh. This shit isn't talked about enough or AT ALL in this industry. Parents want the best for their kids and these predators make it so the parents aren't aware or are comfortable, and let go. I feel sick to my stomach
It's not! It was still on the melon chart top 50 (even in the top 20) for awhile. I think it just dropped off, but it comes back on a lot. That's really good for coming out over 5 months ago. This song is pretty popular to be honest. It was just not so well known when it first released due to low promotion, but it got really popular since she's a judge on the unit now. The reason the views are like this is because they're spread out between this channel, and her official channel. That's still pretty good for a solo artist. More views than Triple H lol. So don't worry about it being underrated, because it's really not 😊
Guys, tha actual meaning behind the song is very deep and creepy. It actually talks about young girls being sexualised by the kpop industry, and being used for views and money and how that traumatises them.
JulialovesJimin Like Momoland their stylists make them wear really short skirts or dresses without any shorts under. A lot of fans speculate that the stylists is doing it on purpose.
I don't think we should say it's sad, it's empowering. Because she clearly wants us to feel powerful, to make us understand that we can change the society by spreading awareness about the infantilization and pedophilic/ rape culture/behavior that the kpop industry has.
Here the thing: You are not Korean. You are looking at this through your single, western lense. Sure, you like the pop music, but that's about it. You're a consumer and a fan, and that's fine. But unless you are Korean, or have lived in Korea extensively (and any Gyopo will agree; any K-town is Korean, but it is not Korea.) you do not know what you are talking about, and really have no place talking about it. Here is a hard pill to swallow: Believing your singular western lense is the only lense and the correct one, and thinking "well if only I could make them see it how I see it" is also called IMPERIALISM. And if you know ANYTHING about Korea outside of K-pop stage names, you will know how they feel about imperialism. You have a good background, but don't get ahead of yourself. One of real signs of intelligence is knowing when to respect the fact that you don't have the answer, and that you don't know how their culture operates.
@@donnadebruin4163 well first of all, yes I'm not Korean and I understand what you mean by that. But I am from also a country where we are seen as "child" (womxn) so I can partially understand how it feels like to be treated not as an adult, even though you are a fully grown person. Where I am from, we have still colonization consequences (South Native American) and the infantilization of the women is a part of it. I am not saying I can fully understand the complexity of the mechanisms in South Korea. Just saying, we may have different culture and countries if something hurts it's because it's not ok ( and also as ex-colonized countries). In my country such things are also banalized, so I do have "a hint" of the perception I had in the past. I got out of it, because it wasn't healthy at all and it hurt. I didn't mean to say "all these people are doing so bad and blabla or the stereotype that all MOC are hella sexist and blablabl (still, colonized manhood exist)". Because it's false, most of colonized countries have a reason (and still it's not an excuse) why they do banalize that. But is it a reason to just be quiet about it? And just let it pass, even though the people that are implicated feel uncomfortable and stand up also?
Donna deBruin you don’t know if she/he only likes pop music. Also as I said on a comment before to you a private and extremely admired idol school that many of our favorite idols has been exposed for harassing the students by the students themselves and the police. We all have heard from Korean news and from people who live in Korea, were kpop idols, and all of those type of experience saying that idols have been sexually harassed. There are many reports of them now a days still so please also do your research and stop assuming that all of us are Western.
Why am I know realizing when she said "you make me 25" it means they made her do things that someone who is 25 should do, not someone who is younger should do.
when i first listened to this on spotify i was just like this is soo good but i didn't know what she was saying nowww Gloom's video has me viewing this in a whole new light i actually feel sorry for hyuna literally need to know who the heck she's singing about because that guy don't deserve a job, family or life *it's pretty actually VERY unlikely that we'll ever find out what this is about but still i wanna know cuz shit just got real*
Man i used to love hyuna, but now i cant listen to her songs the same. Its not okay when young girls get prayed on, as seen on this mv, and song blacklist. But by her logic its okay if its drunk young adult women. I wish i could go back in time and stay in it.
Can we just appreciate how companies are innovating with their song and videos. At one point it was only SM but now Cube started too. I'm genuinely happy for the art they've created
Brönte Do u think this is an art !!? For me they just ruined kpop with this stupid filters and stuff !! I need to see real images instead of fictional one !!
marshiie x jungkookie its become popular to act innocent and cute like the recent girl group debuts, they’re basically pushed aside and brushed away for acting their age (mature..)
I just thought that Hyuna wrote this song because she was starting her relationship with Dawn, he is 5 years younger than her. I never see the lyrics in the way that people are writing in the comments 🥲🥲🤨
I wonder how many people actually got what she said. As a fan it's our duty to look at more than how good the song sounds or how creative the video is. Her lyrics, this video and the song are beautifully executed and it's shows how the industry exploites her, very similar to what IU did. it will probably go over most fans heads though. Asianjunkie wrote and interesting article on it. go take a read of your interested. I'm liking this side of hyuna. She revealed on Ask Us Anything that she wrote the rap
I think she does, she's really one of the oldest artists (training/debut wise) to be at CUBE. I think she has a lot of power there, plus she's their money-maker so she can do what she wants
Too Hoo she actually does have a lot of say as of now. Her sexy image is a part of what Cube created bit she has talked about how that's not her and she doesn't dress sexily when she on her own time. All she produced a song for produce 101 and she is involved with production in cube. I haven't been solidly following her like i used but i still keep up with her 😁
Looking at the lyrics alone, I thought they were so weird. But everything comes together when watching it with the video. I didn't expect such a deep song covered in a bubbly pop beat. I love what Hyuna's done here!
Many people think she sings about the desire to be younger... But that's not true. It's either about a man who's love makes her feel younger or about the K-pop industry who makes her feel younger by infantilizing female idols to hide their true age.
Some people think that she was abused when she was younger. This youtuber gives a good view of the video th-cam.com/video/Ku2fUW1ZKf8/w-d-xo.html .Also make sure to read the comments. I agree more with their theories.
If you turn on subs, and watch Gloom's (Kassie) video of her theory of this video, then you would know that this song, is not just bubbly and fun.. It's also daRK! Edit: so I did some research, and made a theory.. She probably met some guy who had been stalking her, (probably her work place) and they talked and talked, later then she dated him, at first it was all lovey dovey, they had a nice time, to the point where he made her feel young again. Then as the relation ship goes on, he starts getting obsessed with her, then sexually abuses her, to the point where she doesn't know herself. 2:14 she starts feeling young, but in a bad way, not the usual way, she doesn't like it but she loves him in an unhealthy way. 2:41 the light between her legs, represents innocence and her virginity, that's to the point where she's getting raped. She loses her mind to the point where she thinks that the guy is treating her nicely, and treating her like a baby. 3:15 is where she really loses her mind and when she says "Now I'm your baby girl" it gets distorted, just like her feelings, thoughts, and her relationship That's deep Edit: @Bluesterry 10 pointed out that it's also about the Kpop industry, which is also true and changed literally everything! Edit again: Thanks for the replys! Again I can take criticism and yes I'm starting to think I went overboard with the theory and it's complete bullshit, but oh well, and I'm question why I have 1.2K likes because I just wanted to comment my thought process
Holy shit! i just found out the meaning behind the lyrics, i thought it was about a crush, but its actually about the entertainment industry and their expectations of how the older artist should try their best to hide their age both physically and mentally. Queen hyuna isnt called queen for no reason TT
I think this song is a good song (better than I had expected from the album preview) and I love how she became vocalist Hyuna again instead of rap Hyuna (like in Roll Deep, How's This). But Idk, maybe it's just me but doesn't it feel a bit lolita-ish? Especially since she says "Why do you treat me like a baby? I can't tell my age when I'm with you" and "Yes I'm being like a baby, pamper me" then the age she claims she feels like gets younger as the song goes on.
In case it wasn’t clear, this song is about the hyper-sexualisation and simultaneous infantilisation of women and girls in the Korean entertainment industry. People in the comments are saying it’s about underage idols but it’s so much more than that, grown women and actresses are included in this subject
Okay tell me if I'm looking too into this but the song is called BABE and she says "Tell me I'm your babe." Babe is usually a sexy term for an adult but she pronounces is "BayBey" making it sound more like baby. I just feel like this is purposeful to show that this person is both sexualizing and infantilizing her at the same time.
@@user-fd2qu6zo2g if it was a hook said multiple times and that was only one word, I'm sure that if they wanted to they could control the pronouncation
@@hello-pf2ew true, but she's clearly capable of saying baby (as we hear in the end). I feel like it's more for the word to be a bit of a diffrent aesthethic (like hwo many songs do you know wtih words baby/babe in them?). To me it doesn't really sound like she's trying to pronounce it for the sake of the message she's giving but we never know
I've just saw the Gloom's reaction video about this MV and I'm also having bad feelings about some scenes. At 0.28: Maybe I'm overinterpreting things but there is a woman closing the "box" where Hyuna is going. In addition, Hyuna is dressed in a sexy way but she looks young (natural black hair and she debuted super young so that could mean she was trapped in multiple terms: the image made by the company, the company itself...). I don't know why but it reminds me when people are talking about executives meetings idols and entertainers in private bars to obtain opportunities in the industry. At 1.06: The box looks like a scene and with the cute outfit and everything she could be denouncing something (the obligation to act cute in the kpop industry: aegyo, super short school uniforms...). At 2.40: Going more deeper in the interpretation, this game of colors (pink, orange, violet) could means she was on drugs like "in another" world. It feels like she's disconnected/unconscious of everything.
I came here after Gloom's vid, but I was just thinking.... wasn't she part of wonder girls when she was around 15-19 and she had to quit because her parents were worried about her repository issues? Now I don't know if she has asthma, but she'd dancing like crazy and doing squats on stage, which makes me skeptical about her health issues, and the real reason why her parents made her quit wonder girls was because of something else. I know I'm not alone in this too. Also the way the girls are dressed, all innocent but at the same time showing so much skin, like Gloom said "Panty Shot" reminds me specifically of another girl group that is wonder girls juniors, which also go pretty famous around the time this song was published? Was it a call out to them? Or is she calling out the industry in general and I'm just reading into it too much?
Ynna Escano There is actually a rumour that the reason why she left was because she hooked up with Jay Park (he was in JYP too) and got pregnant back then and that's why she left.
i prove myself wrong. im sorry. she first debuted with Wonder Girls back then. I remembered them.being a four member group but i know someone left. i didnt think it was her since i know she is in cube ent.. sorry for a wrong comment.
Hyuna left because her parents were concerned about her chronic gastroenteritis and fainting spells, and it's totally possible for someone to recover from that sort of thing. Especially since she was so young. But maybe her parents might have wanted her to leave because of how sexualized she was in Wonder Girls? Even at 14/15 years old her image was to be the sexy member.
The ending vocals are so chilling, the way I interpret it is this younger version of HyunA (when she debuted) had completely lost herself and her identity to the industry, it progresses through the song, it goes back in time, at the start, shes 26 and happy, and knows herself and her identity, musical and otherwise, but by the end, it references the way younger her may have felt lost due to the sexualisation from the fans and company
this is crazy, i really want more ppl talking about this, the song is great, but the lyrics are very creepy, something was going on here and no one did nothing, fucking kpop industry “what are u looking at? why do u have that creepy smile?” it gives me chills everytime i hear ir
rosécita 이상하게 웃어 doesnt mean creepy smile... i mean if you dont know korean and cant understand the lyrics as it is in korean, stop making weird assumptions. @@leebababe4154 Imagine her talking publicly about how her song is against the industry lmao. Like, "Uh yeeeah it's about how you're forcing old women act like little kids because yall dig this pedophilic shit. Do you still like this idea? Then keep listening to kpop, hey wait, I wasn't serious-"
I think this song is about pedophilia. Most NEW kpop groups are getting younger and younger and alot of the time sexualized by their company in songs or performances. As Hyuna keeps rewinding her age and says she feels 15 is because that is when it started, when she started to get harassed. She says she feels younger and younger with this person and turns from the camera at 15 is because this person hurt her when she was a child hence the "I can't sleep" because she's so traumatized by whats been done to her that she can't sleep. At the same time she is constantly watched by this person and is scared of doing something wrong because she might be abused again, or as she said feel young again, when it all started. im sorry if this made no sense its 4am 😅
Unfortunately it isn't even a new thing. Hyuna debuted with 15 in 2007, Taemin debuted in Shinee with 14 in 2008, Krystal debuted in FX with 14 in 2009, Jiyoung debuted in Kara with 14 in 2008, Sohyun in 4Minute with 14 in 2009, BoA with 13 in 2000... And those are all just the favourite groups, no idea how many of the smaller groups also had young idols. Teenagers debuting has been around for as long as the kPop industry has been growing
I don't know if it is intentional or not but I always feel like her looking to the side at 3:04 looks as if she looks unsure and shows her true vulnerable self before continuing on with her sexy dancing. Idk but either way, the whole message hidden behind such a poppy song is so impressive and I always get chills TE AMO HYUNA!!!!
This is an amazing song- but regardless I’m not crazy surprised that it didn’t do so well. I think that the kpop industry isn’t ready to be called out for its systematic infantilisation. Having this song do well would mean acknowledging the lyrics & their meaning
If it didn’t do well it might be bc her songs haven’t charted that well in a while and she lost traction within the general public. Not saying that people might react badly to what she’s doing but that the message of this song and the way it’s doing might not correlate at all.
People saying that they prefer this song over lip hip, I respect your opinion but you saying that the mv isn't appropriate and stuff, please stop, okay? The song has a whole different theme in it, and you are ignoring it, lip hip is a song about one accepting oneself, and not pretending to be someone, and her way of putting that idea out is really good and unique, but yes this song is really cute and nice as well, just wanna say don't hate on her other songs please
but I'd like to think of it as per HyunA's evolving duality, where Babe (and 365 Fresh - styling wise, not MV concept) are a reflection of her maturing musical and styling preference, with her stance on more a more natural styling for Following (she's discussed this in her behind the scenes videos and on Lipstick Prince), whilst Lip & Hip is a return to the heavier, sexualised, in-your-face concepts she is famous for. Some people (including myself) just have a preference for less explicit concepts, thus why they enjoy Babe more than Lip & Hip, but I would not say this is a cute concept it is a more mature, feminine concept (maybe even classy).
Actually I would say that this song touches the sensitive topic of underage idols sexualisation by older people (the fetishising of innocent concepts). While lip and hip is a way to show that she is not a cutesy girl (a baby girl) anymore but a grown mature women who is learns to accept herself. So both songs aren't just either sexy or cute both of them have a message of their own
I'm not the first person to make an interpretation on this song, but this is mine. (This feels like it's everywhere and yet so repetitive, but it's just how much thought process is). This is longer than I expected: For the line 'I'm just 26, 26, 26' I believe she was trying to make the statement "Yes, I'm an adult but I'm still young" as kind of the response to the sexualization on her. If you remember, she was asked how she wanted to be seen as and she said "I want to be cute" (or a variation of) while 4minute was still a group. Next we get "Why do you have that creepy smile?" (Google lyrics makes it "Do you keep losing it?" or "What are you looking at?" Which I interpret as "Are you losing your mind? Why are you looking?") is making me believe that many of the stares she was getting were not pure (especially with her image). She was also out into the box, and she made it terrifying by putting her hands on it as a "Help, I'm trapped" instead of kissing it like her image would expect of her. For the box, I feel two different ways regarding of being trapped, but both are negative. I feel like she is symbolizing being trapped in her "Sexy/Sex Appeal" image or that she's trapped by those who are creepy to her. This to me is helped with the lines "Like this, huh? Like this, huh? Why do you keep doing this?" which seems like a preditary thing to me, given the translated lyrics. "I feel like a stranger" and "I am not myself" help that theory too. It seems she was treated in the way she did not like (I cannot put a claim on what happened with no proof or statement) very often that each day she felt like a doll, unable to choose and act for herself. "When tomorrow comes, unimaginable myself. Someone I don't know, someone you don't know. I'll have changed." Seeing these lines put together are just even scarier to me. It seemed like she never knew what was going to happen the next day to her own psyche. "In front of you babe, babe, babe, babe. I never knew I would change like this. When I look at you I unwillingly change. I must want to hear it." is just also uneasy to me again by looking at the lyrics. Could she have been forced to do stuff that made her feel anxious for somebody? Could it be that somebody with the creepy smile she spoke about? The "I must want to hear it" makes me believe she was in someway, shape, or form manipulated to sound like a 'compliment'. When she counts down in age: "You make me 25, 25, 25. You make me 24, 24, 24. I feel like 21, 21, 21. I must want to hear it again" goes in with the previous thoughts: this must have gone on with someone she knew for a while. Whether it was someone in her company, personal life, or sasaengs (fans who invade personal life or are crazy). 'Take me to spend time with you. Why do you treat me like a baby? I can't tell what my age is when I'm with you." To me slightly cancelled out the sasaengs, though obviously they have a way to meddle into an idols life and act as a friend when in reality it's all obsession. Based on the song and my interpretation, it feels like a 'sexual age play' fantasy (however, from what we know HyunA is not apart of the age regression community) she was put in by someone. "Did you cast a spell on me?" (I forgot to mention earlier, but I do not know how to add this without writing longer) sounds like grooming. If you don't know, it's essentially preditary behavior. "I'm anxious because of you" is also a way of saying "I'm scared because of you" so to me, it's about someone who did something obviously BAD to her. "I keep pining for you everyday. Why do I keep squirming?" Also sounds like a sexual activity done at a time in her life where she did not understand. And also keep in mind that South Koreas's education system is different than if you're in the states. When she says "Pamper me" I also take that as a grooming tactic. "You make me 19, 19, 19. You make me 17, 17, 17. I feel like 15, 15, 15." Also gives the vibes that it isn't recent. However, whether it was the same person or not is unclear. It could be, yet it could be someone else. Take that idea as you please. Just keep in mind, she is not happy about it as she stopped dancing once she got at the ages of minors (under 18). (She debuted in Wonder Girls at 15 and 4Minute at 17 by the way!) "I must want to hear it again" is one of the CONSISTENT lines (as for example the age changes), also giving the long term effect. "I can't fall asleep tonight. I can't fall asleep because of you. I can't stop thinking about your gaze and speech. I can't fall asleep because of your eyes. Because if your touch." lead me to believe she feels like she's always watched. And for most people, they feel way to scared to sleep. Another thing is that something happened there whilst she was asleep so she had some troubles to feel safe enough to sleep. I don't take that as a "I'm unable to sleep because I can't stop thinking of how much I love/need/miss/ECT. you". Finally, when she hear "You make me baby girl, baby girl, baby girl. Now I'm your baby girl, baby girl, baby girl." Also give the "I'm trapped in someone's fantasy and I can't get out". But with the robot voice, it's chilling because it's like all emotion is being drained (which can happen to people in typically abusive (emotional or physical situations). Then more for imagery, someone in the comments pointed out that the Galaxy in the begining and the end of the music video were different. It's suddle but hard to forget.
realize how she walked away sad when she got to "15" , it was bc when she was 15 there was a rumor that she was pregnant (and idk if it's true or not).and the fact that she had to deal with all her anxiety and depression for 10years is really sad. she got kicked out of the cube entertainment for dating the one she loves "e-dawn" but now she's at p-nation's entertainment (psy offered her when she got kicked out of cube) and now she's doing whatever she wants, making the music she wants and likes. anyways, if you turn on the subtitles you'll realize that something is off and kinda odd, 0:18 "what are you looking at? why do you have that creepy smile?" you can't tell me that this is normal. and at the box scene 0:33 she didn't do any sexy moves but instead something horrifying happened and i'm afraid to say this but i think that she got raped. and at 0:31 "why do you keep doing that?" hyuna is probably trying to say that the pedophile was harassing her so much and ofc hyuna didn't like it. i hate the fact that she's making this mv look so cute without the subtitles but when you turn the subtitles on you'll get the dark side of the actual song. this isn't just a cute sounding song.. this is a clue that hyuna is giving us a clue that is really important! hyuna is indeed a legend for speaking her mind and not being afraid to tell the truth, we all love you hyuna! fighting~

From the research I've done about it and many different color coded lyrics, online lyrics, etc. To me it seems like she's pointing out that there are pedophiles in the kpop industry, etc. Because as the ages get youger, you see she gets uncomfortable (also the music is turning off after 17) looks unpleasant. yoongis nipple I think the song is talking about how the industry will make some girls be sexy and do things even though they don't want to and they might be underage...read the lyrics I think you will understand...hyuna was 15 when she debuted btw

@@ChiNguyen-iz9vf oooooooh!
And who is she!?
@@m.h2247 And do you really believe that? 👀
Cause all of the comment section don't 🤷♀️
I mean just analyze the video for god's sake
For the people who really don’t understand what is going on in this music video there is a double meaning, and it can be interpreted in both ways.
The First meaning is stated by HyunA’s team which is,
“Her sixth mini album "Following" will show new aspects of her upon the 10th anniversary of her debut. The title song "BABE" of her 6th mini album is a cute and witty song about a couple with an older woman. In the song, she portrays a woman who becomes like a baby as she dates a man who is younger.”
This is only the first meaning so that she could get the second meaning into the song.
The Second meaning is more than the eye can see.
It starts off with the lyrics “Why do you keep staring? Why do you keep smiling? Like That, Like That. Why do you keep acting like that?”
This is supposed to represent someone that is over her in the kpop industry with the power to make her act like a “babe.”
More lyrics suggest this throughout the song such as, “Like this, huh?
In the music video at 0:30 we can see her go in the box looking like how she usually is, but when the box is opened she is dressed in unusual clothing and looks very unhappy, you can say she looks like a “babe.”
There are also important parts of the video such as the scene with the flowers, the scene where she stops dancing, the scene with the sand, and the scene where she is seen outer space which can be interpreted in many different ways.

I don't think that Ella gross is sexual
@@crazyzombie3249 People were sexualizing this little girl eating ice cream by saying that it was shocking or inappropriate.
I mean, the best example would be JYPE putting a 15 year old hyuna in the least amount of clothes when WG debuted and calling her the 'sexy member'. The youngest members in WG literally were all put in short shorts and revealed the most skin while the oldest members were in pants covering up their legs.

I second this as a survivor of sexual assault, it was very interesting to see someone else's view, especially an idol since she has so much more speakability
SAAME :O
ALSO
YOU DO NOT SOUND INFORMED/SMART/WOKE BY SAYING SHIT LIKE "It’s so common for abusers/manipulators to make the victim feel in some way that they enticed the unwanted attention." SO COMMON!?!!? IT IS LITERALLY THE THING THAT DO.

Oh my but why are you so mad 👀👀
When she said, "You make me 17," I got the chills.
Me too. Also the part when she sings "I can't fall asleep because of you" makes me concerned
.....You have never had a sleepless night missing the person you like?
Donna deBruin .... she’s talking about the kpop industry sexualizing young girls and the age countdown makes it even more clear...? I don’t think she’s talking about edawn why would she become uncomfortable when the age countdown hits around 15???? And she’s talking about how she unwillingly changes when she looks at someone that can’t mean love right? And when she said that she must want to hear it, a lot of creeps say that to their victims, they trick them and trust me I have experience 🙃
@@jiminsjawlinecutme1897 Why are you mentioning Hyojong?
Ritsukaberry because i assumes she talked about hyuna having sleepless nights thinking about edawn?

Oh sure she did say barbie girl. 2 times then the ending is back to baby girl. This is creepy omg
I know it's 2018 at the moment but I'm still really concerned about hyuna, the English lyrics and the cut scene to where she stopped dancing is really bugging me, only if I could meet her in person and actually ask her *"are you ok?"*
iiiiiiiiii KNOOOW right
It's Hyuna. She's fine.
Donna deBruin so do you know the true or deeper meaning behind the song/MV?
I mean if you saw her and just said that she would get the wrong idea and think she’s flawed or something. Not like there’s anything bad with that, but flawed more than usual.
@@lemortedbrian6070 It's actually not about E'dawn, she's basically exposing the kpop industry that's why she stopped dancing when the age went under 18. The lyrics say "you make me 18, 18, 18" then the number goes down by one and that's when HyunA stops dancing. That's pedophilia in kpop. :/
this song has a huge meaning behind it, she even stopped dancing once the lyrics went below 18.. it gives me full body chills man. its a sad world we live in when these things happen.
its so sad that people cant understand that this is actually referring to someone over her head in the k-pop community. either making her act sexually to get more fans and more money or someones harassing her. ive been a fan of hyuna for a long time and she doesn't say things like "creepy" or have no expression, or even be up against the white wall like that. it also surprised me that she had the bubbly beat in the beginning and she was wearing the white dress cause she almost always dresses kinda inappropriate but not to inappropriate. its just sad. you people need to stop just listening and acualy read the subtitiles and acually pay attention.who knows, maybe hyuna could be getting harrased and someone may be able to stop it if they would acualy pay attention.

the description of this video says that this song is about a couple where the man is younger but is it really?
So shut up.

Although it is still strange that after her age goes below 17 she seems uncomfortable.
I think “more than yesterday” is a line that I haven’t seen people really pointing out. I think it’s about how this has been going on for awhile and is not just recent
the line is "more than yesterday, I've become stranger," meaning like she feels stranger than she did the day before

1:05 now that we are talking about this, at this time stamp there's a line saying *"I must want to hear it"* and this keeps reminding me of the sexual predators who tell their victims that they are the one who *seduced* and *tempted* them, thus meaning that *they must want it*
I might be wrong but this line just doesn't settle well with me now that we are viewing this song in a new light.

@@donnadebruin4163 oh and also, thank you for replying and if tgere is something that isn't understable, English is not my first language ^^

I agree with every thing you said
Icey102 highly doubt she would have nearly as much control of her lyrics and music video
I haven't been solidly following her like i used but i still keep up with her 😁
Yea especially the part where she leaves the stage 2:16 really gives it away.

Majou yes! To me it seems like the industry. Like the creepy smile, locked in a box and coming out completely different, the age dropping, etc

Some people think that she was abused when she was younger. This youtuber gives a good view of the video th-cam.com/video/Ku2fUW1ZKf8/w-d-xo.html .Also make sure to read the comments. I agree more with their theories.

Amandi Pham How? 😂😂
Amandi Pham Oh ok ok I thought you were talking about the song 😂😂
3:15 is where she really loses her mind and when she says "Now I'm your baby girl" it gets distorted, just like her feelings, thoughts, and her relationship
That's deep
Edit: @Bluesterry 10 pointed out that it's also about the Kpop industry, which is also true and changed literally everything!
Edit again: Thanks for the replys! Again I can take criticism and yes I'm starting to think I went overboard with the theory and it's complete bullshit, but oh well, and I'm question why I have 1.2K likes because I just wanted to comment my thought process

I think this song is a good song (better than I had expected from the album preview) and I love how she became vocalist Hyuna again instead of rap Hyuna (like in Roll Deep, How's This).

I just feel like this is purposeful to show that this person is both sexualizing and infantilizing her at the same time.
smart look at it but then again it may just be her -possibly purposal- pronunciation sine she isn't fluent in english
@@user-fd2qu6zo2g if it was a hook said multiple times and that was only one word, I'm sure that if they wanted to they could control the pronouncation
i think she meant like that about the kpop industry sexualizing kpop idols young
@@hello-pf2ew true, but she's clearly capable of saying baby (as we hear in the end). I feel like it's more for the word to be a bit of a diffrent aesthethic (like hwo many songs do you know wtih words baby/babe in them?). To me it doesn't really sound like she's trying to pronounce it for the sake of the message she's giving but we never know
I know this song is so good but also just really freaking creepy.
I thought i was the only one here who saw the vid from Gloom
Same, here from Gloom
Sameeeee I was looking for this comment 😂 Kassie is really clever and witty!! One of the first people to realize this whole conspiracy thing

IMO this is one of hyuna’s best and most important songs. she is an icon of kpop forever

Ynna Escano There is actually a rumour that the reason why she left was because she hooked up with Jay Park (he was in JYP too) and got pregnant back then and that's why she left.
hyuna was from a girl group called 4Minute. Wonder Girls is different.
i prove myself wrong. im sorry.
she first debuted with Wonder Girls back then. I remembered them.being a four member group but i know someone left. i didnt think it was her since i know she is in cube ent.. sorry for a wrong comment.
Yo i came here also after Gloom's video
Hyuna left because her parents were concerned about her chronic gastroenteritis and fainting spells, and it's totally possible for someone to recover from that sort of thing. Especially since she was so young. But maybe her parents might have wanted her to leave because of how sexualized she was in Wonder Girls? Even at 14/15 years old her image was to be the sexy member.
현아는 이노래가 레전드
Nobody in korea assumes this song has deep meaning like that. Hyuna herself talked multiple times that this song is about dating a younger boyfriend.. and a quick reality check, edawn is actually younger than hyuna. He is probably who she is talking about not some creepy industry executive.
@@FYFHTaeyun god thank you people have been so dense about this song based on badly written lyrics by 1thek... it's not THAT deep and they obviously never watched any vlive of hyuna talking about this song.
Whether its true or not ( which i do believe ) OF COURSE SHE WOULDNT GO AND FUCKING SAY IT IN PUBLIC SHED ACT NORMAL WHAT WOULD YOU EXPECT *inhales* yoUR THE DUMBEST SHIT OF EVER
@@fum1s okay but some things are more obvious
At the same time she is constantly watched by this person and is scared of doing something wrong because she might be abused again, or as she said feel young again, when it all started.
im sorry if this made no sense its 4am 😅
wow i'm crying..... She went through so much, I wanna be there for her...
You making Kpop theories at 4am I couldn’t relate more
It did tho
Unfortunately it isn't even a new thing. Hyuna debuted with 15 in 2007, Taemin debuted in Shinee with 14 in 2008, Krystal debuted in FX with 14 in 2009, Jiyoung debuted in Kara with 14 in 2008, Sohyun in 4Minute with 14 in 2009, BoA with 13 in 2000...
And those are all just the favourite groups, no idea how many of the smaller groups also had young idols.
Teenagers debuting has been around for as long as the kPop industry has been growing
dw its 1 am here
I don't know if it is intentional or not but I always feel like her looking to the side at 3:04 looks as if she looks unsure and shows her true vulnerable self before continuing on with her sexy dancing. Idk but either way, the whole message hidden behind such a poppy song is so impressive and I always get chills TE AMO HYUNA!!!!
Look into her eyes at around 1:51, you can see a man and a woman, the chills-
This is an amazing song- but regardless I’m not crazy surprised that it didn’t do so well. I think that the kpop industry isn’t ready to be called out for its systematic infantilisation. Having this song do well would mean acknowledging the lyrics & their meaning
If it didn’t do well it might be bc her songs haven’t charted that well in a while and she lost traction within the general public. Not saying that people might react badly to what she’s doing but that the message of this song and the way it’s doing might not correlate at all.
this song actually charted well! maybe not as high as her previous songs but it stayed in the charts way longer.
This is possibly my favorite song Hyuna ever did, from the production, to the concept, to the very important message, it's her magnum opus.
For me it is one of the best successes that i make hyuna as a singer
This song is so underrated. It really highlighted one of the biggest issues in kpop
*EVERYONE GET THE FACTS!! SHE DEBUTED AT 14 YEARS OLD!! SHE JOINED CUBE AT 15 YEARS OLD!!!*
So both songs aren't just either sexy or cute both of them have a message of their own
I TOOK JIMIN'S JAMS AWAY tf they said they prefer this over her other songs, how the tf makes them hating her other songs?
I'm kinda disturbed by this song, Gloom made a video with a conspiracy too i think.
현아 노래중에 제일 중독성 쩌는듯. 처음에 들었을땐 되게 흔한 노래같았는데 이상하게 자꾸 생각이 나네;;
I'm not the first person to make an interpretation on this song, but this is mine. (This feels like it's everywhere and yet so repetitive, but it's just how much thought process is).
This is longer than I expected:
For the line 'I'm just 26, 26, 26' I believe she was trying to make the statement "Yes, I'm an adult but I'm still young" as kind of the response to the sexualization on her.
(She debuted in Wonder Girls at 15 and 4Minute at 17 by the way!)
"I must want to hear it again" is one of the CONSISTENT lines (as for example the age changes), also giving the long term effect.
It's suddle but hard to forget.
i also think she states she’s “just 26” because in kpop that’s considered old already. but she is still very young
realize how she walked away sad when she got to "15" , it was bc when she was 15 there was a rumor that she was pregnant (and idk if it's true or not).and the fact that she had to deal with all her anxiety and depression for 10years is really sad. she got kicked out of the cube entertainment for dating the one she loves "e-dawn" but now she's at p-nation's entertainment (psy offered her when she got kicked out of cube) and now she's doing whatever she wants, making the music she wants and likes. anyways, if you turn on the subtitles you'll realize that something is off and kinda odd, 0:18 "what are you looking at? why do you have that creepy smile?" you can't tell me that this is normal. and at the box scene 0:33 she didn't do any sexy moves but instead something horrifying happened and i'm afraid to say this but i think that she got raped. and at 0:31 "why do you keep doing that?" hyuna is probably trying to say that the pedophile was harassing her so much and ofc hyuna didn't like it. i hate the fact that she's making this mv look so cute without the subtitles but when you turn the subtitles on you'll get the dark side of the actual song. this isn't just a cute sounding song.. this is a clue that hyuna is giving us a clue that is really important! hyuna is indeed a legend for speaking her mind and not being afraid to tell the truth, we all love you hyuna! fighting~
The video is really simple but creative, and the song is soooo catchy :) Great combo! Slay my queen :D
