I have a 10 year old home 5.1 Sony home theater system and a 15 year old Sony 7.1 receiver and they still work amazingly!! I love the quality of Sony products with tons of included features! I’m definitely a Sony fan boy now lol

Cool video. Whenever I unbox tower speakers i set the box down and open the bottom then put the box upright and open the top and the whole box slides right up and over easy. 😉

I own the same whole system you have. Bought it a year ago for my HT room. A little tip to put your subwoofer beside your couch/listening area and not close to your TV. I found it more immersive. Enjoy!

do you know if it will do 9 channels of proscessing or just 7 ? my yamaha has a 7.2 but will proscessing for 9 channells!
Just 7, there are other receivers that are 9.2 channel. As the sound industry keeps getting bigger and bigger. They are coming out with more ideas and channel outputs.

Hey Kevin, thinking about picking this up at BestBuy, what’s your review after 8 months? Do those Atmos speakers sit on top of the towers?
It's a good price for the whole setup. BUT the subwoofer could be better, needs more watts. The reciever doesn't completely turn off when you switch it to off. It will be on all the time. But I heard there's an option you can change to make it off. I haven't had the time to check. I just have they system on a power bar so I know it's completely off when I want it to be. The Atmos speakers, you have an option to put on your walls or have then sit up on the towers. I have vaulted ceilings so that wouldn't work for me.

Nice one. I have one avr from sony... STR Dn1060... Using it for almost 5 years, really robust, abused it everday. Never give any single problem yet their amp really a good bullet proof tho. But sony speakers just too cute, i'm using klipsch speakers and klipsch 15 inch subwoofer to match it. Awesome sound.

How do you feel about the book speakers I think they should be alot loud. What is your take on them
Hey Jeron, I feel the same way as you do. They could be a bit louder. They are only 100 watts. I use them as my rear speakers for surround sound, where the performance is less focused 🍻
@@KevinPon. I have them place on the side and behind me as well. I have my setup in my living room. Also from my setup I feel I get the most sound and bang from my center speaker wen turned up loud. Maybe I have the pioneer receiver on the wrong sound output but it's on full 7.1 surround sound. But all and all it's a good sound system for my 1st setup.

Good question. I was purchasing a home theatre system based on a limited budget. I didn't want to spend too much money. This one was the best option for the buck and so far I'm happy with the purchase 🍻

Definitely not recommended. You will not get the same sound quality if you were to listen to music or play movies.

I'll give it to Sony on there surround sound speakers but that powered sub didn't last 3 weeks when I had it. Was only at 65% turn up on sub and 55 on the receiver 45 min later I come out of my bed room to the living room to that burnt sub smell however did sound amazing for such a small sub wish it had lasted

How the sound quality for music indoor and semi outdoor i mean when open the door for listening at terace? How the sound quality for movie?
I use sony 5.1 mhc GN1000D its already 11 years and works good, but yah as a human always want to upgrade, due its doesnt have hdmi, so i upgrade to denon avr + harman kardon 5.1 speaker but my harman subwoofer trouble after 1 year and the service centre in my area very far, in the mean time due i didnt use denon avr for long time eh 😔 its broken.

Hi Yoyo, the sound quality and clarity is awesome. For the price when it's on sale, you can't beat it. Best bang for the dollar! Plays great from all range of music whether it may be, classical to hip hop. When playing movies it feels like you're in the theater. For gaming when playing COD, wow it sounds like you are in the game on the battlefield. 👌🏼🍻

I bought mine for around $1650USD or so near Christmas time on sale. Buying from online would be the easiest or take a look at a local audio store and see if they can help 🍻

Yes, overall I am happy with it. But the subwoofer could have a little more bass to it. I have the settings to the max right now. I might buy another sub.

Hmm 🤔 I don't know much about the Bose lifestyle 600 but if the price tag is not a key factor in your buying decision making then I would buy the Bose. Superior audio quality! I was looking at the Acoustimass® 10 home cinema speaker system but I changed my mind. I wanted a full package with 7.2 surround sound and Dolby Atmos.

@@Deivy_84 Yeah that's about $1000 more than the Sony lol. I can tell you that the Bose has better bass. It's a hard decision. You'll have to see what features and things you want out of a system and which ever system has more things you want then I would go for it! :)
