For those wondering this is indeed considered a 'wealthy hood'. Charlie didn't venture into some white suburban neighborhood. This is actually a neighborhood inside proper Detroit limits and it is primarily black(some white mixed in). In fact 7 mile road is literally the entrance to it and there are dump ghettos surrounding it but it's actually a really interesting setup. Geographically speaking it as safe as you could hope for something in Detroit. It's sandwiched between a cemetery, golf club and the police 12th precinct is literally right outside the neighborhood.
and for those of you wondering , Places like this in detroit are prime spots for crimes, if anything ever pops off in detroit on a large scale areas like this is destination number uno! be wise don't invest you money in this shithole

@@Vulcan650Vampire Why would someone want to leave their keys in their car overnight? That's stupid no matter where you are living. It's really bad when people see a few videos of some abandon homes in a city and don't have enough commonsense to know that it does not represent the entire city! Detroit has some extremely beautiful homes, and these are just a few of them.
I grew up here pretty much my whole life. Before that, I lived in the Boston Edison district on the west side of Detroit as a small child. Sherwood Forest is the name of the first neighborhood at the beginning of this video. Seven Mile and Livernois area. West side of Detroit as well. Definitely a predominantly black and relatively wealthy and safe neighborhood for decades. Many black “white collar” professionals raised their kids in this area of Detroit. I was one of those kids 🙋🏾♂️…80’s baby.
I live in a wealthy neighborhood in Detroit. My neighborhood pays for private security and everyone on my block is on a group thread. People fucking around get caught real fast. I'm sure it's similar in the other Detroit areas that are really nice.
You mean....you count on white people gentrifying previously owned black neighborhoods to bring them back to glory? Oh, ok. Just making sure what you meant.
Some people get winter tires 🛞 for better traction && braking but either way you still have to drive slow on the roads‼️ You can have winter tires && still get in an accident because the way others drive‼️

I'm glad you're showing some nice neighborhoods in these cities vs all the slums and ghettos. America is made up of rich, poor, hungry, fed, accomplished and the destitute. Everyone has the opportunity to do what they wish to make their own life choices. You can be born poor or without any status and rise to become President of the United States like Obama or Clinton. Not all have this chance due to various circumstances but it's still there and you can still rise up and overcome. I was born into a lower class family with 5 kids where it was hard for my parents to put food on the table. But we were taught the value of hard work. I paid my way through a local college while working 40+ hrs a week and now own a company employing 60 people. People like to find excuses and blame our country, but it's all there for the taking if you work hard and apply yourself. My two cents.

Most are white owned and white majority. Most, if not all African American neighborhoods are crime ridden and dilapidated.
These are majority black areas.

The place is more beautifull after snowfall! All mud and garbage are dissapear under snow, and the place seems so clean and festive.
You should do more of these. Cool to see the fancy side of town too
Magnificent neighbourhood, beautiful hikes, landscaping.
I wish I could lived in a neighborhood that nice
Always wondered why nobody messed with the good area houses lol
Because that's a fool-proof way to get shot real quick. People will protect their families with hell's fire.

After that horror drive through East Cleveland, this restores my faith in humanity.
Charlie has videos of houses just like these in another area of Detroit but they're abandoned.

Can you go to other cities/towns near Detroit???
Like Monroe, Carleton, Belleville, so on.
Thanks.
Take care.
Why 😂 ain't shit happening there
Charlie felt scared driving down the wealthy part of the town 🤣
Yeah, because of the cops.
He was afraid to be robbed. Cause robbers in detroit must go to rich area often to rob 😂
I'm from Detroit and everybody from the D know that all detroit don't look bad this video is proof.

So beautiful. Looks just like Walkerville in Windsor which Albert Kahn has some roots to!
Average $316k houses.
