Haraszti Agoston is the name of this Hungarian emigrant who moved to the USA in 1850 and really he brought 250 different wine stocks from all over Europe and established the famous Sonoma and Napa Valley wine region in California....Thanks for this nice video...by the way I am from Pecs but I live in NYC for 35 years and I love it

Villány is the most beautiful region of Hungary. Here are the best red wines in Central and Eastern Europe! The absolute best of them is of the same quality as SuperTuscan wines such as the world-famous Sassicaia, Ornellaia ..... The best of all wines is the red cuvée from Gere Attila winery - Cuvée Attila - Grand Vin de Villány (50% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon). Robert Parker rated Cuvee Attila 2009 score 96/100. I highly recommend tasting! Extraordinary wine!

Gotta love that party guy at the beginning , he looks very chilled and that is what life is like in that part of the world. Stress free, why bother. Have some wine or palinka , smoke a fine cigarette and have one and for most: lots of fun and be good to people :) . Good documentary .
There are 22 different wine regions in Hungary. Villány is mostly famous about their red wine but they also make white wine there. Most hungarian wine regions has one or two specific wine types that their call their own but they also make several other types in every wine region. Eger, Villány and Tokaj are the most famous ones but there many under rated regions. For example I recommend Somló. It is the smallest one and they have a very special type of Juhfark wine. It is made in other parts of Hungary as well but in Somló it's on an other level. And it's also very beautiful there. But there are many other wine regions in Hungary that worth a try

All the vineyards have a name and the pince means cellar (also basement) that's where they store barrels of wine to keep them the right temperature.
