Im a Senator fan from Edmundston N-B, haven't watch a full nhl game in years. But i went to our local jr team games this year at first beacuz my son loved going but i started going with a friend and it really got me back into hockey again. I wasn't sure if they could do it again and get to the SCF but they did it and they still look like monsters... But if we go by stats, more often than not teams have to go to the SCF once and lose before they win, we'll see... either way this series will go to 7 games probably unless a team fall apart then I can see it end in 4 games for the Oilers (if let's say they win first 2 games then go home with a 2-0 lead)

No, the difference is defense. A better story. A more informed story. Would be the impact of Paul Coffey on the defense of the Oilers. The success of the 2024 Oilers is on defense. Today they won a game with 10 shots on goal. That would rarely happen before this year.
What these talking heads don;t get in my opinion is when they compare other good teams going down to Florida. What they don't understand is that Edmonton is a different Animal. you cannot compare that a Mckinnon or a Pastenak being watched or guarded with McDavid. Across the blue line in the offensive end. Stars were essentially thrown into a battle with the top 3 teams before the Oilers which resulted in long series that beat them up and resulted in injuries while the Oilers played against multiple weak teams (The main reason they almost lost to the Canucks was a Goalie issue let be honest, Oilers are better than the Canucks this year by a decent margin) and got to the Western Conference very healthy. They basically got handed the Western Conference on a silver platter when Vegas just decided to throw that final regular season game which changed the WC teams around (There is literally no reason Vegas should have lost that game). Problem is now the Oilers are going up against the Panthers who have a phenomenal team, I think they are going to beat them in the conference finals especially is Skinner plays like he has most of the season.
