Same for me living in Denmark, I have some Swedish tools though too and even some metal working tools from the US. Good tools are something I want to pass to my children when I have them like my dad and grandparents did. The younger generation, (I'm 35) is inheriting all these quality old tools and just tossing them into the metal recycling container where I live. It makes me so sad. I rescue what I can, and put in peoples hands who need them.

Actually from market positioning in Germany, Proxxon is at the mid- to upper-mid level product. Direct competitors is Stanley (should be known to you US guys) for example, being sold at standard DIY retailers and targeting ambitious DIY persons, high level positioning for professionals is brands like Hazet, Stahlwille (which I definitely can not pay for, and my experience with Proxxon is absolutely satisfying). All brands here are only examples, there is a lot more on the market.

Case-ception! And yes, Proxxon has a great reputation for quality tools. It's a Swiss company so that's to be expected. I agree with you on Knippex and Wera. The stuff to go when you can get it. As for WD-40: it IS a lubricant, but it's not a long-term lubricant, it's too volatile to be used for that. For short term it's alright, especially because it's a penetrating/creeping oil and it's very effective when trying to get rusty parts to move. Also great for cleaning gunk out. For long-term lubrication something more sticky is the better choice.
Pretty awesome set - which is no surprise given that Multipick sells it.

Great video Bill. I didnt know they make hand tool if it's the same company. Proxxon is a german tool company that make rotary tool and other "small" machine for miniature hobby like small mill, lathe, bandsaw etc.
example quality. Before find proxxon I had 4 or 5 dremel hand rotary machine because different attachment and often because dremel motor wear out after a year or two. The proxxon all their rotary hand tool is metal body and attachment is universal to their model. play, noise, feel, design is all better. I've had 1 proxxon rotary for over 10 years now.
Even Adam Savage recent did a review and raved about proxxon.

I'm just wondering what the two unused spaces in the bottom part of the box are for. Possibly a Jimmy Bar and a car ignition/steering wheel lock snapper? Pro tools that I doubt I will ever need, unless I get a job in housing asset management. The core puller is a great tool. Most decent euro locks have snap cylinders now, so maybe multilock might also start making longer torque screws for pulling out the other half of an anti snap core.

In the lower half, third slot along between the master key and the adaptor plates - what's missing from there? It was empty in the Wendt kit too. Also, what is supposed to be below the pliers? There seems to be an empty slot there too.

Good video, and excellent explanation of the tools.
There was one tool you never showed us, and 2 empty slots I'm curious about.
WD 40 may be designed as a water displacer made from fish oils, but it IS also a lubricant like any oil, and a damn good one that penetrates well and removes rust.
I also insist on quality tools, I have a very well equipped shop/garage, and all of my tools are from the "Cooper tool group" a recognised group of brands that make high quality tools, like Klein, snap on, estwing, proto, etc...good tools are expensive, but so is replacing broken, bent, or twisted tools and the equipment they damage.

Bottom empty slot is for this guy: shop.multipick.com/de/glocke/proxxon-ratschen-ringschluessel-17-19-mm also a Proxxon it is not the best brand on the marked but the force gain on the Zhie glocke (pulling bell) is so hi it does the job more than wel (you're not going to break that with your hands, and if you need more than one hand on the Zhie glocke there is some thing wrong). Tap the UK flag on the site and it shows the price for the Proxxon wrench at $ 12 incl VAT. Putting a Gedore, Whiha, Whera wrench in there would rise the price of the kit for no reason, the Torx T handel that you want in excellent quality and there are no better pliers than Kinpex in my opinion.

It's black week and they have increased the prices for their single picks extremely, from 5 to 9 euros each. Don't know if it's because of the lockdown or what, but I think a 40% increase is too much. I have to look for an alternative manufacturer with good pick quality, but also at affordable prices.

Aimed more at hobbyists but their rotary tool is far superior to Dremel for example, their "industrial" line is also for low use trade or high production hobby shops as it were. Maybe it's only here in Europe then but they go far beyond the scope of Dremel (or perhaps Dremel don't reach Europe as well). But they make tools for low use/wear trade work and high production hobby shops, jewellers and the likes. Mini mills and lathes too but also quality hand-tools, definitely not on par with quality of old English-made Eclipse for example but way above no-name also.

There are two empty spaces in the lower part of the kit, one to the right of the turning tool and one below the needle-nose pliers. Any idea what is supposed to be in those spaces? And, are those items available to fill up the kit?
I can answer part of my own questions by looking at the web site. They show and describe the key turner set as 2 pieces. The slot at the bottom is for an offset ratcheting box wrench. The picture shows an item to the right of the turning tools that I still can't identify. shop.multipick.com/media/images/popup/image_28551_1.png Any ideas?

Yes, those slots are for additional tools in the more expensive "Professional" version of the kit. the lower one next to the pliers is for another wrench, ratcheted on both ends. The upper empty chamber is for another bolt turning tool, called a "needle". I am not familiar with that tool and have only seen pictures. To fill those two empty slots will cost you an additional 400 Euros ($478.70). If you have the $$, you can buy the Professional version here: shop.multipick.com/en/opening--locksmith-tools/opening-locked-doors/cylinder-pulling--destructive-tools/tool-cases-tool-sets/opening-kits/ultimate-opening-set-professional

I‘m using the professional kit from Multipick for the past 5 years or so, and had no issues with any of the tools. Excellent quality!

To be honest, multipick and other companies do nice kits, but instead of buying pre made kits one should always build his own kits and tools

Yeah, you could do that (and I often do). But sometimes buying the individual items is a lot more expensive (as in this discounted kit). Still, if you already own some of the tools, or will never use some of the tools in the kit, do the math and make your decision.

That is an awesome kit, but a bit out of my price range.
I would also wonder when you would use a cylinder snapper over a core puller? Seems a bit odd to have both? Well, I at least can't think of a scenario where you would need the snapper where the core puller wouldn't be an option......does anyone know?
Also, for those looking for the deals page on locklab: locklab.com/resources/deals-sales/
