- Ik werk veel met de O2R,deze mixer is voor mij op dit moment de beste keus.Af en toe vind ik weer iets leuks om mee te spelen.In dit geval twee in cascade geschakelde Yamaha's.Moest nog wel wat aan gebeuren.
Really, really helpful. We have been having issues with our 02R lately, and now I see we need to replace that battery. Thankfully, we have some fresh ones of that type (2032). I will take care of this soon, using your video as a guide. THANK YOU.

I bought an O2R a few years ago and it also needs a new cell. I'm happy to see I don't have to open up the entire console.
I bought it some time ago and just stored it away. I was going to buy a A&H Qu-16 but I've just recently decided to give this old console a try and see if I can save myself a bit of money. If the qu-16 had a 96khz DAC like the SQ-5 I'd probably go for it. The SQ-5 is just too much $ for my needs. At least for now. I'm looking forward to getting my O2R fully operational. It came with the meter bridge, 16 ch analogue card and the optical ADAT card.

I believe. If you take care of something you will have it for a long time . Yamaha do make pretty good stuff, Cause i've had my MSP 3 Studio monitors since 2001, up to now.

Hi phillmellina,thank you for your nice comment.I never had the OV1,so I don't know.It could be possible that you have to open the top of the mixer, just a vew screws.Take your time and you will succeed, kind regards Marc

Hi Marc, I need one last thing: Studio Monitors. What can you recommend for the Yamaha O2R? Do you use passive or active Speakers? Greetings Thorsten
Hi Thorsten,I use active and passive speakers and headphones.I have the Behringer TRUTH B1030A actieve studiomonitors and the Behringer TRUTH B2030A actieve studiomonitors on the other side of the studio..I use an old pioneer amplifire as wel with big old celestion speakers.The active speakers are more precise in mixing.The pioneer is making things nicer as they really are.The behringer monitors are very affordable,I have bought them new because with second hand I don't know what has happend with them.I use Sennheiser headphones,very good and comfortable, I think.I hope you can make your choice easier now.Success and Greetings Marc
@@paltrock Great, Thanks! I actually got some Auratone Cubes, I don’t know if i should love or hate them 😅, they are great for learning how to get balanced mids in the mixes. Now, looking for a second par, I will check out the Berhinger ones! Cheers
Hi Marc, I cleaned the faders of my O2R with canned air, they are better now, bu it seems they could be a bit more smooth. What do you recommend? Contact spray? Also I would like to give the knobs a refresh. Thanks Thorsten
Hi Thorsten, the faders of my O2R "s aren't sliding smooth too .I push them instead of put my finger on them ,then they slide easier.If the motorized faders are working allright,I should do nothing. It could be, that it's not used for a long time.The more you use it ,the better they will glide.I don't know about contact spray.Have you connected it yet? Kind regards,Marc
@@paltrock Hi Marc, yes, the mixer wasn’t used for a few years. It was gifted to the A1 “sound man” from the “Jeopardy” team 19 years ago. But I bought it from a professional company in North Hollywood. They tested it. I guess the mixer was stored for many years (as the original label tape is still in place ;-). I will connect it soon…very excited 😊! I also got a used Yamaha Motif ES in pristine condition last weekend. I will let you know when everything is connected and how it works! @@paltrock Yes it is! The board also came with the meter bridge, that's pretty cool! And now I have my final set-up: After considering I just bought a used Lynx Aurora 16 instead of the Yamaha Nuage 8A8D, that provides 16 analog ins/outs and 16 digital AES ins/outs. And I didn't want to go the Dante route. Just simple routing for the beginning. That should be sufficient for my small studio for years to come. I also use some 500er outboard gear. I will keep you posted. Cheers Thorsten

My 02R disables the display occasionally and with this the sound, afterwards a couple of seconds going by gets it. What may be his reason?
Hoi Tibor,I am not a specialist but it could be a loose connection.I have had one opened with a simmular problem and i checked all the connections,and the problem was solved.I hope that it works,good luck.

Hi,it could be anything,i allways start with a factory reset.
02R Factory Reset procedure:
WARNING: When this procedure is performed all user stored data will be deleted! If the current settings and data must be maintained, create a data backup before executing the Factory Reset. Once the procedure is completed, the backup data may then be reloaded into the 02R.
The following data will be deleted or reset to default settings: Automix Memory, Scene Memory, EQ Libraries (user only), Dynamics Libraries (user only) Channel Libraries (user only), Effects Libraries (user only) and all other user system settings.
1. Turn the power off.
2. Press and hold down the Left Cursor button while turning the power on. Continue to hold the button down until a dialog box appears on the display. The dialog box will read ''Please Confirm: Initializatize Memory? [ ] Cancel [ ] Execute''.
3. Using the cursor buttons, navigate to the EXECUTE option and press [ENTER].
The 02R will now execute the Factory Reset procedure automatically. The procedure will take less than 10 seconds.
NOTE: The faders will be recalibrated during this procedure. Be sure to avoid touching the faders while they are moving during this procedure. The fader recalibration is finished when all faders return to the minimum position.

pull out battery plug the mixer tour ON .next return battery +RESET FACTORY

I have used a 3v lithium battery.If you go to ali express and you look for: "CR2032 lithium ", then the battery I have used will pop up.
