If you're looking for a similar vibes to the sunrise, but with the herbaceousness of gin I would recommend using a more bitter juice, like cranberry, grapefruit, or pomegranate. Unfortunately I don't think any of these cocktails will be truly good, But just better than orange juice

That cocktail has been around for a long time. The only thing new about it is the vodka if you add tequila. Instead, it's called a tequila sunrise.😊

One thing I would do instead is just get a gin sour. Not quite the same but it would suit the Spirit significantly better.
