Brought this 2005 w900L and the owner told me that the air don't blow hard out the front vents because the truck wasn't up to date. So i did some research and mane this video is gold. Basically everything in my blower motor box was backwards. The motor wires must be on the left and putting those wheels back on the right direction is very importing for your air flow. This is a great video you save me $$$$
I have a 99 Kenworth with 86" studio sleeper and have replaced front rear ac cores and heater cores lines and all. Had one of my brothers working for me in my shop helping and it is a job. In west Texas working now 108 degrees fixing to take front section apart in truck stop parking lot loosing ground on front blower. Going to run a jumper to frame solve that problem.
This was a great on depth video. Thanks for sharing. I have an 05 W900 and the box on the firewall looks just like yours did. Very rusted out. So I'm going to have to replace everything on mine as well. I had an old school driver tell me to use Great Dane black spray paint for my frame. I bet that would be great for this application to. When I was watching and you was trying to bump the idle up, I noticed you was pushing up on the toggle switch. Not sure if mine is different, but on mine, I push the toggle switch down to resume to get the idle set, then bump it up to bring the idle back down if I go too high. Have a good one, driver!
Great! Hope it works out. It's a very simple design and a lot easier to get to than in-dash units. Too bad the box is metal instead of aluminum. I'll be replacing mine someday.
I was wondering what happened to the video you made for dismantling of the firewall heater box? I wanted to review it because I am going to do mine the same way. It was informative.
Great video, I watched it to confirm I had installed my own motor & fan cages the correct direction. Question- what was the product you purchased to clean the heater & a/c coils? I believe you said you got it from Home Depot?
Hey brother get down to the dollar store, simple green is awesome, but a 4 dollar bottle of " Mop& Glow on top of the cleaning will make that rubber better than new, old stool trick there super truckers
I'm assuming this is what I need to replace if there is no air when I turn the heater/AC on? Maybe wiring isn't right or disconnected. Good video though
Hi ur video very good But I change twice blower motor But my motor after 20 minuets Shut down I change register Two times blower motor 20 minuets good working Then fues hot blower fan off I change fues relay But motor change used
Thanks for the video. Ive been having an issue with the blower motor stopping as I drive down the road. Then suddenly...it'll start again. But I also could hear a clicking sound under/behind the glove box. Thought maybe the blend door actuator but all positions were working. But today...it is stuck on vent and that's it. No defrost or floor heat. Any idea how to get to the blend door actuator? I'm hoping it's in the heater box somewhere so I can change it at the same time as the new blower motor
bababa39 I think the motor you are looking for is at 3:38 in the video. My truck is actually missing the metal rod that goes from the motor to the outside door. My door for outside air is always open.
Hi there, did you ever figure out why you have no defrost? My 06 KW T800 has the same problem... actuator works fine but have no idea how to get to the blend door!

Thanks for the tips. I have a 1999 T800 tri-axel dump and need to get to the blower motor and now I know where to start.

Thanks! You did a great job.
I've assembled thousands of those units. They are assembled in Rockford, Il.

You need that 6NZ with that big single to run with big 🐕
Nope don't need no 6NZ my 1MM walks on them
Great video! Thanks for sharing! We’re u able to find the fan motor resistor relay?
You can get a stainless steel heater box from Shoreline Manufacturing.
