There is a difference between a good vocalist and a skilled vocalist. 1d are good vocalists, they can sing in tune and have nice voices. But they aren't skilled, they don't have stability, and obviously haven't learned how to properly breath while singing. Exo are skilled vocalists, they have stability and power went they sing. And while you can hear them breathing during live performances it doesn't sound like a pug was breathing into a microphone backstage like 1d. This is coming from a girl with a extremely musically oriented family, one of my uncles is an opera singer, vocal coach, and has a master's in musicology, my aunt taught piano, plays guitar and previously the organ, and sings a little, my other uncle has a band called subterranean howl, my other aunt plays piano and sings, my mom plays violin and viola and sings, and my greatgrandma taught them all to play the piano. And I myself have been in 2 musicals in a lead role. So yeah I'm extremely aware of good musical talent.

Just remember SM is a whole different story than XFactor. I'm definitely not a 1D hater. I was a directioner for about 2-3 years and I bought lots of their albums.(I just started liking Exo this year) Based off of this video, for me Exo puts way more effort into their music. Notice how 1D will perform one or a couple of songs and easily get tired, while Exo will have choreography along with perfect vocals. Exo trained for many years while 1D simply got put together on the X Factor then started making music. Remember : I'M NOT A 1D HATER

Not being biased I am an Exo-L for like two months. I been listening to 1D longer and I never liked them much because of their vocals, like I only listened to their song because I liked their lyrics. I like strong vocals and 1D ain't it. And yes I don't understand Korean but I don't understand Spanish too but I still listen to it if the voice of the artist is good. There is a difference between a good vocalist and a skilled vocalist. 1d are good vocalists, they can sing in tune and have nice voices. But they aren't skilled, they don't have stability, and obviously haven't learned how to properly breath while singing. Exo are skilled vocalists, they have stability and power went they sing. And while you can hear them breathing during live performances it doesn't sound like a pug was breathing into a microphone backstage like 1d. This is coming from a girl with a extremely musically oriented family, one of my uncles is an opera singer, vocal coach, and has a master's in musicology, my aunt taught piano, plays guitar and previously the organ, and sings a little, my other uncle has a band called subterranean howl, my other aunt plays piano and sings, my mom plays violin and viola and sings, and my greatgrandma taught them all to play the piano. And I myself have been in 2 musicals in a lead role. So yeah I'm extremely aware of good musical talent.

Honestly I used to be a big fan of 1D (I don't really listen to them anymore) so I'm familiar with their vocals. Now that I've really started listening to EXO I'm becoming familiar with their vocals. I used to think that 1D had amazing vocals, but now that I've started listening to kpop, 1D can't compete. Sorry for any 1D fans but they just can't compete. Have you heard EXO harmonize? I'm not being biased because I'm an Exol but I'm just stating a fact. I saw Directioners saying how 1D had it so difficult because they had to go through the xfactor. Uhm Exo had it difficult as well 😑 Getting accepted into SM is super difficult considering they're one of the top 3 companies in Korea. Trainees have to train years upon years just to perfect their singing, dancing and rapping hoping that they'd debut. Sometimes in the end they might not even debut even though they trained so many years to become an idol. SM Entertainment is known as the home for some of the best vocalists in Korea and well yeah Exo's vocal line is known to be one of the best. I don't care if you think 1D's vocals are better but just don't call Exo 'untalented' BECAUSE ALL MY DAMN BOYS ARE TALENTED ASF! FIGHT ME! In fact all Kpop idols have to go through this. I was a directioner for about 2-3 years and I bought lots of their albums.(I just started liking Exo this year) Based off of this video, for me Exo puts way more effort into their music. Notice how 1D will perform one or a couple of songs and easily get tired, while Exo will have choreography along with perfect vocals. Exo trained for many years while 1D simply got put together on the X Factor then started making music. Remember : I'M NOT A 1D HATER

I think exo wins here because 1d without Zayn can't. I thought Zayn was the only vocalist in 1d can beat exo. He has best live vocals and well stable highnote in live performance and can go higher than exo's vocalist. But I like the vocal battle between exo's main vocalist VS Zayn,Liam,harry styles

I'm not a native Spanish speaker so I'm not 100% sure and feel free to correct me, but isn't EXO's Spanish pronunciation like really on point?? From what my Spanish teachers taught me, they got the r rolls down pat (which isn't actually surprising) and even the slight "j" noise in the double L. My boys never fail to impress.

Not being biased I am an Exo-L for like two months. I been listening to 1D longer and I never liked them much because of their vocals, like I only listened to their song because I liked their lyrics. I like strong vocals and 1D ain't it. And yes I don't understand Korean but I don't understand Spanish too but I still listen to it if the voice of the artist is good. I don't feel the songs of 1D I feel the songs of Exo especially their ballads.
