Some people definitely have the gift. I was a skeptic myself but about 20 years ago a friend and me went to someone´s apartment to buy a stereo. There was a girl kind of studying us at the kitchen table. The first thing she said to me was ´´give me your keys.¨´ Her boyfriend told us she was a psychic so I complied. She then told me things about myself that she couldn´t possibly know. The most striking is when she blurted out ´´What is with you driving a red car all the way to Vancouver and listening to nothing but the Eagles.¨´ About 15 years prior to this meeting I did just that. I drove my red jeep across country to the city of vancouver and my radio was broken. I had one cassette tape and it was The Eagles. That story wasn´t even significant to tell anyone about. Was a firm believer from that time forward.

Poeple believe what they want, and NEED, to believe. The other thing at play here is a phenomenon we see a lot in the magic world ; I've had people explain to someone else (in front of me) a trick they saw me do previously. Almost EVERY time, it's at least partially embellished, or misremembered, and it comes across even more impressive than it was. People perceive, and then that shapes their recollection of it, sometimes without them even realizing it. I'd love to believe there are some "genuine" abilities out there, but I have not seen a SINGLE instance that can't be explained with more common sense solutions (cold reading, hot reading, intuition, etc..).

Mediumship has been tested extensively at university and other investigative institutes. I have had sessions with a good medium, and they were extremely successful. Having your own successful session with a medium or two has the effect of wiping away any remaining skepticism. When your loved ones come through and give validating evidence that only you would know or immediate family members would know, and then give you a message that’s pertinent to your life and what you’re doing, it’s just foolish to continue to be skeptical.

I knew a lady once who had a lot of education; however, she spent a ton of money (money, I don't think she could afford to spend) on a psychic medium; this psychic live about 100 miles away. This psychic seemed to be able to tell this woman personal details about her house, and family - which really impressed this educated lady. To this day, I think this out of town psychic either paid someone to investigate this woman, or had another psychic medium, in this woman's local community, to investigate her. This educated woman spent thousands of dollars on this psychic medium - which, was enough money to make investing in a private detective, or sharing the money with another local psychic, worthwhile, in order to deceive her and take thousands of dollars from this gullible woman. I could not convince this woman she was being scammed.

So these people are able to read the people when they come in. They look at the clothes they wear, age range, way they carry themselves, how clean they are. Then they ask them small questions that’ll allow them to make very vague statements that allows the person to think they’re answering more then they actually are.

For kicks, I took my hubby for a psychic reading. She said he had lost someone and stopped living for 7 years. At 23, he lost a brother and friend within 6 months. All he did was work, he stopped going out and had virtually no social life until we met when he was 30.

It’s an absolute scam. A concoction of cold cognition and deductive reasoning, and also partly from pure coincidence. The “psychic” lays out the vague, broad criteria and the subject, in a highly-intense emotional state, fills the gaps in an attempt to bring about psychological content. The psychic uses your emotions against you to lead you to falsely come to a conclusion of your own design. And if the psychic makes an error (in this video around 40 seconds in), they’ll make a quick adjustment to get back on track. It’s disgusting exploitation.

Things that were spot on and unusual. Knowing for instance I got my dead ex’s boyfriends name tattooed on the side of my HIP. Who does that? She knew he hated his name, he never told anyone but me that…. He didn’t have Facebook or anything. She knew what exact car he drove and pointed out of the window when the exact color and type of car drove right by. She also informed me a day before my mom passed that her sister Glenda wanted to come take her, and she had no idea about what was going on with my mom.

As a medium for over 50 + years Edwards way of communicating with spirits is valid to me, albeit the edits on media stages. It's harder than most people realize. Watch a documentary film "Life With Ghosts" (I'm not associated with the filming of the documentary) to see updates of scientific research and acceptance of academics and psychotherapist on how communicating with the dead is plausible and positive to assist healing grief.

I know this video is old, but I have to say this. After my sister passed away, her daughter bought us tickets that were very expensive, to see this fraudster, imo. It sounds silly, but we were struggling with her loss. Hoping to hear something. Everyone was raving about this man at the time. There were less than 50 people in the room. Yes, room, not a stage or auditorium. A small hotel conference room. After a long speech, he starts his readings. He would point to specific people in the room and begin asking them questions. Is there someone who passed with the letter R in your family? Of course they would say yes, my brother, father, son, nephew, etc. How did they pass? How long has it been, etc. The person would then give a summation of their loved one. THEN, he would say the deceased has a message for you. Deliver that message and go on to repeat the process. Not once did he start a so called reading without questioning the person. He did not select us. He did not select anyone from the audience who appeared to be educated and professional. Imo, he is a sham who uses peoples grief to extort money. We even offered to pay for a private reading which they turned down. Not surprising.

Once you understand their method it becomes so painfully obvious they’re grasping at straws and spouting out anything that will stick. “I’m getting a J or an M name, does that resonate with anyone?” Well gee, John, Jessica, Mary, and Megan are some of the most popular names in the US. There’s more than a 50% chance someone has a close friend or relative with those letters in their name (he used these letters specifically in another video along with a different “medium” on a news show who used the exact same letters).

I went to see him live a few years ago 😢! He never reads anyone except selected people and doesn’t actually interact with the public that came to see him. He appears for section of the show then runs in the back room or whatever and never interacts with people. As someone who has some sort of intuition to help people, I have to stop myself from being around people who are actually in pain of loosing a loved who needs a connection and for a real medium you can’t deny or hide from peoples pain especially when they are waiting so long to get a message and your tickets are sooo expensive… you should spend time with people who didn’t get picked and read them as well… people like this guy makes a sacred process a joke and are disgraceful to say the least!!!

Why don't the dead say that tell john smith he is going to break his leg, instead they say that they have someone who says that a person with J in their name is going to hurt their leg. Fast forward 80 years and J might trip and hurt his leg. I went with a friend to see a show. The medium told a lady that she had her mother in spirit. The whole room erupted in laughter when the lady said that her mother was still alive. That's one medium who didn't see that coming.
