    it's so beautiful just looking at an engine with 0 miles on it. just imagine all the potential and where that engine is going to take you.

      Not very far these are the gm 3.6 engines they had very bad problems early on, the cylinder heads were not machines correctly causing the camshafts to have too much endplay. They are known for timing chain problems but that’s only because people do not change the oil often enough and when they changed to full synthetic oil they have far less problems.

    High school shop class in the 80s, this was taught like algebra is taught today. I dissembled and rebuilt a lawn mower engine by the time I was 16, just like half of my class peers. This wasn't even considered an accomplishment beyond getting a grade.
    Today, these schools don't teach jack shit and think engines are something COMPLICATED. No, today's kids just don't learn shit.

      Read the book "Shop Class, as a soul craft". It explains what happened. I was s gear head in high school in the 70s. Most afraid to change oil on a car today. I have built a few engines and transmissions. I got a free 1998 honda, the owner thought it too far gone. I had 3 dtc, several issues. All resolved, gave my daughter in law the car. Runs perfect now.

    • @iWalkChris
      @iWalkChris 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately this video conveys nothing about performance:
      1. What did the battery level look like AFTER this tow?
      2. How far did the vehicle tow the load?
      3. What kind of shape can I expect my transmission to be in AFTER towing a load?
      4. What does the 'tongue load" do to the frame of the vehicle?
      5. Most of the Tow-Tugs are Gas or Diesel electrics: If pure electric were practical at this level, they would be using it by now, I have no problem with electrics. Its battery capacity and durability that I am concerned with.
      6. Teslas are absolutely super, BUT may not suffice for heavy consumer usage. Like I said: A Tesla that can tow my boat to Florida.
