I can say that without a shadow of a doubt….that my German Sheps would lead any dog astray for a day of chaos lol.
They can’t go off leash without diving into the neighbors pool, begging treats from another neighbor or chasing squirrels in the across the street neighbors yard. They all love them to bits and it never lasts for more than a few mantua before I’m behind them in search….but I can tell u they would LOVE an addition to partner in crime….so yeah. My neighbours stole and released my dog over a year ago. When we finally found him at animal shelter he was quarantine for supposedly attacking another dog,but mind you, my dog is a very big dog who is absolutely scared of my other dog who is a Chihuahua because she snapped at him once. They let me see him and the big ole bastard peed for like 2 minutes straight staring stopped and started to cry and howl trying to get out of the cage. Needless to say I brought him home neighbours were beyond shocked he was back.
Well fuck forgot about this comment, didn't think anybody would really read this. A small update is needed I guess? Neighbours lost their house and got their dogs taken, karmas a bitch. Mine on the other hand is doin great

I believe it's because we kept calling animal control on them repeatedly, their dogs were always in our yard and their not the friendliest at on point one of them chased me from down the street to my front door

Wow, so sorry you have such crappy neighbors!!! Do they get ticketed and dogs pick up when they let them run lose and you have to call? I hope so! If not maybe someone can catch and release their dogs at the city dog pound/city, dog cop animal shelter!!! Grrrrrr!!! And unfortunately if you catch them being agressive with another animal get a quick little video while you hose them down to break it up and that way you can have theirs deemed dangerous and force the city to make them find a country home for the dog less ppl around less likely to harm!!
I had to do that with a dog that bit my, 5 yrs old at the time, daughter in the face! I wasn't too worried about the dog to have him put down, I think the poor guy was basically starving, he had been in our neighborhood for 3 days when it happened! I think he was edgy from hunger and I think my daughter lost her balance and pulled on him. The owners were on vacation and the dog sitter wasnt really doing their job! But I couldn't be 100% sure that was the issue so I asked for stronger measures on the owners part to insure he stayed home!!!
And you would think they would do better with their dogs because they are a part of the family how would they feel if they lost them!!! People should not do ppl that way...uggg! In your case it's understandable, justified because they are repeat constant offenders of animals running loose!!!
May GOD protect and calm their animals and take the owners to task for what they do!!!

My dog has a microchip but it kinda was a waste because he never runs away for real, he only runs around the neighborhood then comes back within 15 minutes. He's a good pupper.

When my mum was younger her free range cat was beaten to death by some teenagers that thought it was funny. Please be responsible and keep your dog inside or in a fenced yard he can’t escape. Well I live in a small neighborhood so they all know him, he’s a big dog too so even if there were a car they would see him and he doesn’t just wonder into the street. He just likes to walk around the neighborhood and see his favorite neighbors. There’s rarely any strays and when there is they’re cats and they’re scared of everything.

A relationship between a dog and it's owner are so special. Couldn't live without my Cheena. She's s pitbull and my special friend. She stands by me when I'm having a panic attack. She was never trained for this but she knows when I need her and help. Amazing!

Hey KzE, glad to hear you got your boy back! I have some knowledge to pass on to you and your readers that I think will be helpful. I'm guessing you may be a first-time Sibe person. No intent to knock you or anyone else here, just looking to help out the breed and the people like me who love Sibes.
To any first-time Siberian Husky owners or those considering getting a Sibe for the first time: please, please, PLEASE research the breed, talk to experienced Sibe owners and spend some time with these dogs before getting one of your own. My 10 Sibes were the joy of my life (along with several other animals I was honored to share time with), I learned so much about animal behavior from them (even after researching), and they kept me hopping every day I lived with them. The most important thing I learned from sharing my life with them is this: the best thing I can do for any dog is learn what makes them tick, *not expect the animal to become a human*. When one lets the dog be a dog, everyone's happier.
Sibes are built to RUN. Give them as many opportunities to do that as safely as possible. When they escape (and they will escape, you can count on that), searching in a motorized vehicle is best, but also stop to call for them often and loudly. Bring food and water along, especially if it's unknown how long the dog has been gone. Having your Sibe registered, or at least wearing a collar with his name and your phone number on a tag, as soon as you bring it home is very important. Sibes can -- and DO -- escape more than once. :-)
Final note: because male Sibes are prone to testicular cancer, if you have no plans to breed your male Sibe, neutering is a good idea. It prevents unwanted breeding, reduces the chances of testicular cancer development, and calms the dog down. Cheryl Bailey is 100% correct.
For those who feel having an intact male is an important status symbol (really?) (yes, it's still a thing, apparently), the testicular sac can remain in place. There are even companies that sell inserts to make the dog look like he still has balls, even. Yes, really. Google it. :-)

A friend of ours had one that was on the front porch every evening when he got home, there was NO way out of the yard, unless he levitated, but every day he got loose! Kinda what happened to my dog, except the people in the animal shelter put in a microchip without our concent and told us to pay $200 or we won't have our dog back. They didn't even feed her and she was starving as HELL!

That's horrible I would REPORT them for not feeding but how could you tell she/he was not fed? I ask because some dogs will act like they haven't been fed for a few days after because they are so happy to see food again on a regular basis they scarf it down as fast as possible because they are afraid it's going to be their last meal. It takes a little while for them to realize, oh yeah i'm home my peeps live me and will feed me, and they are back thi their old rou routine quickly
