Thank you for your comprehensive and overall positive review. Lenormand just like other forms of divination is very subjective. I do realize that relative simplicity or immediacy of recognition is useful especially in the case of a full Grand Tableau, and as such there may be some initial confusion with my more elaborate renditions, But that is what I do, it’s my style and producing yet another Lenormand with say isolated images of a mouse , bird or whatever simply did not appeal to me. With that said I accept that as such my two Lenormand may not have a wide appeal. I also like to play with concepts, rather than to carefully reproduce what is considered traditionally correct. I accept that will also not appeal to everyone. I try to minimize any disappointment by producing promotional videos that I post on social media, that show every card. So people have a better reference of what the deck is like. As for the extra cards, I never intended them to be part of a grand tableau, but rather optional cards that might offer a different perspective to a standard reading “IF” the reader wishes to use them for additional clarification. Or they can simply be discarded, in which case one would still have the core 36 cards.. however I have noticed many imaginative ways that readers have incorporated those extra cards. Which is a pleasant surprise. Either way a perfect deck that matches everyone’s preferences is an impossibility, at least for me. But once again Thank you for your time preparing this review. I hope you can get your phone to function with the QRvcode. As the card title suggests, it links to a private section of my web site that includes more material…. A closer look…
Thank you so much for your comment, Ciro! I'm pinning it so everyone can see your answers! You are of course right, it isn't possible to please everyone, because what some people find a good side, others complain about! I feel you, I am a creator myself (a novelist) and the reviews are sometimes the opposite of each other... I've used your deck for some time now and I can report that it reads very well, gives a wonderful, vibrant energy to the reading. Thank you for creating this lovely piece of art and thank you for answering my questions! :)
Hello, I’ve ordered them and can’t wait to receive them (with extra cards) 🥰 I love your cards ❤ your creativity and also keeping the traditional.. your Kipper- cards are so lovely, too. 🙏
I thought I'd share a litte thought on the subject of "Lenormand History & Traditional Meaning", if I unsolicitedly may. I'm sorry in advance, this is not supposed to be a know-it-all comment! 😅 The following is solely based on the traditions I was taught & my own study & research. It's grounded in knowledge that has been collected way before my time, but at the end it cannot be completed seperated from subjectivity & opinion. It's completely fine & valid if you know or think differently. A) History: Roughly seperated, Lenormand can be boiled down to 2 different, main cultures or schools- The French tradition & the German tradition. In my experience, the international Lenormand movement overall seems to follow the French meanings & teachings more closely. My first guess for this is the rather confusing history of the Lenormand card deck itself. The cards were in fact created by German salesman Johann K. Hechtel, who was heavily inspired by an older deck of Austrian fortune cards. They hit the market around 1799, titled "Das Spiel der Hoffnung" (The Game of Hope). Foremost intended as an easy card game & only secondly for divination. It wasn't before 1850 that the deck was re-published as "Petit Lenormand", using the "fancy" French name of Madame Marie A. Lenormand, the most famous psychic of her time. This was done to boost sales by capitalizing on Mdm. Lenormand's mysterious reputation & her many celebrity clients. By this point however, Lenormand had already been dead for 2 years & thus never saw or worked with this particular set of cards. B) Differences regarding Depictions & Meanings of German & French Lenormand symbolism: ☆ 6 The Clouds ▪︎French - usually often neutral or dark Clouds with less emphasis on color for: "confusion, uncertainty, worry, lessens positive impact of surrounding cards/reinforces negativity" ▪︎German - two-colored Clouds, one side dark & one bright (dark often on the left) for: "on the left lies the source of confusion, on the right what will be clearing up or can be done to get better" ☆ 7 The Snake ▪︎French - usually a Snake in a more fierce/menacing position, leaning more towards Christian symbolism of: "falsehood/deceit, lies, pitfall, enemy" ▪︎German - often a Snake in a more neutral/graceful position or wrapped around a stick reminiscent of the Staff of Asclepius for: "doubt, detour, (slow) change, rebirth, medicine/medical treatment, physician, ancient knowledge" ☆ 10 The Scythe ▪︎French "sharpness, accidents, warning, suddenness, (literal) cut down, surgery" ▪︎German "harvest, any kind of paid work/job, workplace, hard labor, reward" ☆ 11 The Whip/Rod/Brooms ▪︎French - (usually just a) Whip for: "conflict, arguments, fights" ▪︎German - Rod & Broom for: "all sorts of verbal discussions, important topics, arguments, fruitful debates, venting, Male Sexuality" ☆ 12 The Birds ▪︎French - different kinds of Birds, (often 2 orioles) for: "chit-chat, gossip, light-hearted commotion, excitement, nervousness" ▪︎German - (often 1 or 2) Owls for: "wisdom, advice, intellect, objectiveness, foresight & literal eyesight, experience, older people, the number 2, a short flurry/fuss" ☆ 14 The Fox ▪︎French "trickster, scam, cheating, provocative, meanness; but also often --> daily job, (self-)sufficiency, diligence, provider, salesperson ▪︎German "deception, masked feelings, imposter, fake, false friend, wiliness; also --> cunning, cleverness, intellect, smartness, thought-out ☆ 30 The Lily ▪︎French - white Lily for: "wisdom, goodness, innocence, kindness, peace" ▪︎German - white Lily for: "harmony (within the family or social life), purity, charity, balance, Female Sexuality" ▪︎French/German - recently also pink/red or purple Lilies appear on this card, for which the meaning is usually the same. • Pink/Red for: "passion, flirting, attractiveness/beauty, romance, attraction, sexual tension" • Purple for: "spirituality, esoteric, mystery, spirit guides/angels, spiritual forces, the Divine/Source ☆ 32 The Moon ▪︎French "overall success, recognition, in the spotlight, light in the dark" ▪︎German "honor & reward if close to the person, mind & nerves, intuition, melancholy" ☆ 34 The Fish ▪︎French "finances, money, earnings, worth, assets" ▪︎German "financial situation, but also (deep) feelings, sensitivity, insight/realization, alcoholism/addiction" ☆ 35 The Anchor ▪︎French "stability, job, career, work, settling, gravitas" ▪︎German "hope, expectations, reliability" (The Anchor serves as the "good" variant of the cross with its main meaning of hope coming from Christian symbolism.) ☆ 36 The Cross ▪︎French "hard times, sadness, suffering, burden, depression" ▪︎German "fate/destiny, crucial life lessons (Fun Fact: the word "crucial" comes from Latin "crucis" for cross), purpose/focus, Religion or Belief System. • also an amplifier -> The Cross acts as a "+" (plus sign) & intensifies the meaning/ duration of the card that either lies directly after or under it, while simultaneously being seen as a "-" (minus) for those cards being right behind or above the Cross, therefore diminishing their effect/extent.)"
@@wolfofcoins Thank YOU for the acknowledgement! 🙏 I tried to organize the list a bit more neatly & added some information I found in older ("historic") books & some more recent comparisons regarding the Lily symbolism. Anyway, I feel very grateful for your comment. 🌸🌟
Thank you so much for your review and commentary on this deck. I absolutely agree with your observations of the cards that can be a bit confusing because your attention is likely drawn away from the object of the card and I especially agree with you on the age aspect - and it is just like Hollywood where it's okay for men to age but women... not so much. It's both interesting and annoying that this thinking is reflected in this deck. There's no reason to hide aging women. I plan on purchasing this deck but I wonder how this will affect my readings and how often I use the deck.
@@wolfofcoinsThe borders make each card a piece of art, a little painting. I am a sucker for borders, I love them. And all the cards are so light, bright and bring back the summer for me. Love this deck! Awesome review! 🍀
I'm excited to get this deck. Thanks for the great video.
Adorei , eu tbm concordo com sua percepção!!! Tbm penso assim.
I think the object on the Stars card is supposed to represent navigation? Guidance? Some type of seafarer compass perhaps.
Oh, that totally makes sense! ❤️
Hi, how does one go about receiving tarot, oracle and lenormand card decks from publishers to review?
I usually write to them, linking my channel and telling them how I will be showing their product.

Yes, exactly! Hollywood standards are horrible in many regards, the problem of aging included. I hope you will enjoy using the deck nevertheless :)
The double men and women card are not only for gay, you can date 2 men or dealing with a mother a sister etc ..
That's true!
I find this one a lot better then the Guilded Reverie expanded edition ❤
What do you like better about it? :) I don't have the Guilded Reverie.
