AutoCAD Heavy file how to Reduce the size in seconds

I brought in a file from a 3d skp model. it was 268mb. I did the overkill command first (.001 tolerance) and then this block technique. The file size is now 1 mb. Thank you!

YOU'RE MY SAVIOR. My original dwg. file that i exported from Sketchup was almost 36MB but after i tried this trick, it reduced to 30MB BUTTTTT IT GOT LIGHTER. Not lagging when zoom in and zoom out.

Use purge....& Use winRAR....Because some files contains lots of blocks & layers so it will not able to reduce the size so use that above written options.....

Purge your file when you type purge one dialog will open check the empty boxes then click on purge all items....it will reduce the file size....

Another Option
Option-1 purge all items then purge layers & delete unwanted objects from your file... again purge
Option-2 close your file compress to WinRAR it helps...I hope you get it...thanks tc stay save....bye
